Re: Interview with Bo Jangeborg

Enjoyed that interview, watched all of it in the end (in bits!). He seems like a cool sorta guy that it would be nice to meet at a retro/Speccy event. Fairlight was probably my favourite of those iso 3D games - I liked the variety of different room sizes and styles in the game, from claustrophobic c...

Re: Phantom Slayer (1982)

Reminds me of 3D Monster Maze. Looks like a fairly simple game. I'm not sure about the random maze generation though..! :o Always think with this sort of game that it'd be nice to have a 'sidestep' option like more modern 3D dungeon crawlers, but I guess it might be difficult if you want to maintain...

Re: Horace & The Robots

I think Paul did a review of Speccy Berzerk clones on one of his Spectrum Shows, this one would have won hands down if it was out then..! It's remarkable how accurate it feels to play it.

Re: Renegade or Target Renegade?

One of the reasons I preferred Target Renegade were the weapons. I also preferred the flying kick movement to the original.

[Edit: can understand the issues with the 128k music though, it did sound a bit out of place]

Re: Cannot edit older posts.

An example. Jari, the author of Mucho, has a nice graphic tool. The pics on their posts on WOS about this tool are dead. Some tips that may help: - publish url folder links on dropbox, you can always change the contents of your folders - use tiny.cc to shorten links for your pics (you can edit your...

Re: Cannot edit older posts.

Yeah, that's the only thing that used to annoy me a bit, where the first post links aren't working anymore but there's an alternative. Hopefully as long as Einar's magic database is being updated it's less of an issue for Speccy software, but things do occasionally stop working as they should (<coug...
