No game guesses, but I'm going to have a punt at the theme to line 3 - Soft Aid.

Re: First and final: Martech

Martech never really stood out for me - I played a few of their games, The Planets was fairly imaginative (though I didn't get far).

Rex came a bit late for me in the Spectrum's life, would have been great to have played that a couple of years earlier.

Re: Let's talk about life/energy counters

Nice vid. :) I generally preferred good old health bars ( boooooring - Ed ) but appreciated the imagination into other methods of showing health (anything other than numbers). I thought Thanatos had a good one, with the heart beating faster as you took damage, and you can rest to restore your energy.

Nothing leaps out at me for this one. Could be a tight vote.

R-Tape will probably be campaigning for Nanic Niner.

Re: First and final: Ocean Software

Nice thread idea.

Ocean weren't my favourite software house, though I did enjoy a few of their 8,000,182 or so releases.

Would be interesting to see the average ratings of a software house's games, year on year. Any volunteers to create a line graph?

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with M: vote

I joined the Resistance and voted for Match Point. No tennis game in any plattform has made me enjoy like it. I almost caved to peer pressure, but have decided to join the People's Front of SCF and voted for Match Point . Just because I played it loads more over the years. Ace game. If I hadn't pla...
