Re: Homebrew authors vs Walkthroughs
Interesting. I quite understand how complete walkthroughs can spoil some games by revealing story twist, secret room or boss (es). Still, I think it is player's decision how he want to consume the game content, be it playing game oř watching walkthrough. And if anyone want to prevent people watching...

1) Pre-Zu (for novelty)
2) Prince of Persia
3) Phaeton
And I made personal note that my next game should have title starting by letter E,I,Q or Y. Definitely not by P.

Well, our minister of defense came with idea that in time of crisis, premier should have stronger rights and he should be allowed to declare state od emergency on his own. It feels like covid-19 has another victim - democracy in our country. Is this the new 'rule by decree' in Hungary? Do you think...

I share your frustration. Pre-Zu is really good. And fact we have faithfull conversion of Prince of Persia on the list doesn't help too. It is hard choice this time.

Ossuary is really interesting game. It looks like a roguelike and it borrows a little from the genre. Still, its inner mechanics are much more simplier. Your avatar has three skills and hitpoints. In the dungeon, you attack various monster that may drop items. These are either consumables restoring ...

What's a tape trap? A tape trap is one of the ways for emulators to facilitate fast (or instantaneous) tape loading. Here’s the list of tape-loading options in Fuse, for example: I thought, that Fuse tries to accelerate LD-SAMPLE loop and it really tries to match exact instruction sequence. Or is i...

Unfortunately John Glenn suffered the fate that historically befell to the crew of the Apollo 1, which included Virgil Grissom and Ed White, present in the US roster in the game. Yes, I have seen First Man with Ryan Gosling. It somehow suggests that being first man on the moon was not only matter o...

GLENN is dead. He did not even make it to orbit. He vaporized right on the launchpad.
I hope I will not kill ARMSTRONG before landing on Moon. Actually, is it possible to fail just because you killed all your pilots ?

I tried to google by image but it turns out that picture recognition network is definitely not trained on Spectrum in-game screens.

Yes, it is very impressive, though it little bit lacks control precission. I would like to see something between Batman The Movie and Soldier od Fortune.Ast A. Moore wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 11:51 pm David O’Connor also did Soldier of Fortune, which is pretty good, too.

Isn't Phantis rescuing her love interest ? I mean, there are some hearts floating around in outro. Still, I suspect the whole love thing was just excuse to bring some action on screen. I wonder if there is true romantic game. According to the instructions, she must rescue her 'expedition mate' so i...

Speaking of post-romantic games, does Jet Set Willy count ?
Also, Olli & Lisa had some inter gender tense in story, no ? I'm not sure, the opposite sex stuff was waaaaaay above my level when I played the game (oh, good old uncomplicated Dungeon & Dragons & Speccy period of my life).

I wonder - why is LoM considered to be better game than DR ? They seem very similar to each other. I could never really get into Doomdark's Revenge. They tried to complicate it too much. The Lord's would be wandering around so you never knew where to find them and it just wasn't as accessible for m...

Re: Keeping track of registers
So - a general topic for discussion. What is your approach to tracking your registers? How do you manage them cleanly in the most efficient way possible? Does this question even make sense? DO NOT TRACK :) Track it only for small portions of code like small, single purpose subroutine or small loop....

Why USR 32781 ? Where it should jump ?
Anyway, I'm not seeing any issues with your code. Still, I would not use $ in label, it can have special meaning.
