Re: Wanted: The Great Escape Cassette

Amstrad version is very close to Spectrum. I did ask Piko Interactive if they could put in other versions as well. They told me to go to Antstream, very disappointing.

Re: Contact Us Spam

I did try the contact us button, but felt frustration because after using it an error message was displayed. Do you have a note of the error you were getting? Certainly by the numbers of messages that come through I don't think anyone else is having an issue. It's just the standard form provided wi...

Re: Contact Us Spam

I think before joining the forum I did try the contact us button, but felt frustration because after using it an error message was displayed. I don't know if it is relatedto the spam, perhaps the soam caused it to malfunction?

Re: One year ago Piko Interactive released ùany Ocean Interactive games

Years ago I wouldn't have bothered so much.. Though Imust say I like to play games knowing I have them legally.. But I know that yes, some developers don't mind if you "pirate" their old games.

But I also understand your question.

Antstream is disappointing apparently

Re: Head over Heels back on Steam

I noticed zx spectrum and DOS appears to be the only ones having the March music, c64 has a specific music, Amstrad has none.

Re: Head over Heels back on Steam

It's more the titles of movie tie-ins like ' The Great Escape ', or licenses of arcade conversions, where I wonder how they perpetuate. Was The Great Escape actually a licensed game? I know it has the movie's music. It's one of those topics that I've heard arguments about in the past. The manual of...

Re: Head over Heels back on Steam

Great Escape and Where Time Stood Still are also available on Steam (although do not appear to be the Spectrum Versions) - they form part of a Ocean Classics Volume 1 They are the DOS ports from back in the day. Not the best. Although I imagine in this example its all above board, I always wonder w...

Seeing that Piko Interactive bought Ocean Software rights I wonder if they also acquired rights for Batman and Robocop.

I guess licensed games are quite "locked" right?

I noticed ZXDB doesn't feature a main file area for games like Batman or Robocop. I assume this is becausethe permission from movie industry would be needed right?Has there ever been attempts to get permission?(Warner Bros and whoever owns Robocop rights)

Re: bringing microcomputer games on modern platforms

Yes I finished Saboteur 1 and 2 remakes(difficulty set to 9 for the first, and collected 14 papers in the last mission of 2). I was assuming it could get more young people interested as wel, as the creator of Space onvaders said during an event that many young people were interested in old games). A...

It was not. I won't givde details about why but I lost ability of curbing some fingers and I apologize for the typos. And if you have doubts about my sincerity, while I never owned a spectrum I started playing CPC 464 when I was 4. My first games were batman(ocean),Sorcery,Cauldron 1 and 2, Silent S...

Re: bringing microcomputer games on modern platforms

I can understand why people got angry. You know, many of us feel that these old games should be free so anybody could download them from the web and enjoy them. Companies that created them already made their money, they aren't going to earn any more real cash from them. Not to say that most of thes...

bringing microcomputer games on modern platforms

Hello, I am posting here even though I was an Amstrad CPC user, because I have been dreaming for a while aboyt the possibility that developers would be interested in porting old games to Steam or consoles. This has happened a lot to megadrive games for example, so I thoughtt his would be great if sa...
