Re: New Game Maze Death Rally-X

Simple but really playable. Has that flavour of an arcade coin game from 1981 ;)

Re: Sevenup internal file format

Yes :)
I wouldn't expect to find it there, on Zx Modules website.

Re: Sevenup internal file format

Thanks. But I hoped for something more friendly than source code ;) I'm especially interested what is the structure of .sev file for masked sprite. Btw, anybody knows if Metalbrain, the author of Sevenup is still active on Spectrum scene? Actually I could have a feature request for Sevenup but being...

Sevenup internal file format

I suppose it's not only me who uses Sevenup utility for graphics in their Spectrum games ;) Sevenup allows exporting picture data to binary or series of .BYTE commands. But it also has own file format called .sev Is there any documentation available about this .sev format ? How it stores and organis...

Re: Old Tower

Great game! It's not only multicolor for multicolor's sake but the game has actually good and original gameplay, not seen on Spectrum before. Some inspirations from classic Snake game are obvious but there's much, much more inside it. The multicolor works really smoothly, at moments you actually for...

Re: MIA: Russian game Wall

Weren't illegal translations/mods unsuitable to be listed in the database? E.g. like pirated and translated games published with Italian tape magazines (Load 'n' run, Special Program, Special Playgames, Tutto Spectrum etc.). Generally yes. That was the rule on old WOS when still Martijn ran it. The...

Re: ZX Vega+ Discussion

Looks like the directors change isn't that obvious as you could believe:

They'll probably fight with each other until the last drop of blood

EDIT: the link says you cannot load something but just click it anyway

Re: MIA: Russian game Wall

Oh well, thanks ;)

So the decision belongs now to admins, as before. Should we add it as mod or skip it ???

I believe it classifies as important/quality mod - loading screen, translation, some graphics retouched but I'll certainly accept other decision.

MIA: Russian game Wall

I know a lot of MIA stuff appeared recently so I won't be adding much more till next update. Just one game ;) Actually it's better quality than most of stuff I found recently. Fluent, with AY music. It's called "Stena" in Russian which translates to "Wall" and is a Breakout/Arcanoid clone when you c...

Re: ZX Vega+ Discussion

I can only assume at this point that they have plans to "save the day". Assuming they are not crazy, what could be their plans? The current situation as far as I know is: - about 100 people of over 2000 got crappy, unsuable prototypes - the rest of backers got nothing - money was wasted on legal su...
