Re: Manic Pietro

Great stuff! I like that you didn't make a copy of Manic Miner but instead created a lot of new levels with inspirations coming from different games. By the way, how do you complete Level 2? I have to jump to collect the last coin and then I fall down close to exit but not touching it and lose a life.

Re: Beginner Question: Programs that enable you to Program

For longer BASIC programs, I recommend either using an appropriate application on a PC, or an emulator There is an PC application (a precise word would be IDE I guess) for writing Spectrum Basic programs called Basin. It comes with built-in emulator so you can test your programs while writing them ...

Re: Beginner Question: Programs that enable you to Program

What is your general experience with programming? Did you program in Basic before? Do you know any modern programming language? in case of programming in Z80 assembler on modern PC there are two things - editor and assembler. Editor is well, a text editor that you use to enter your code. It doesn't ...

Re: TIKI TACA

If you go to this page, at the top right you should be able to click 'download'—that'll give you the full .RAR I would have a general request here. Please people, don't use .rar as packer for Spectrum games. Use .zip instead. Rar files aren't recognized by most popular emulators. You cannot load .r...

Re: Spectrum-Environment for Pygame

As long as you have fun, do it :) It's not Spectrum but it has been done before - take Zx Spectrum Basic, take some features of it that you think that are cool, add some new features and program it in some modern language on a modern computer. There was once a project called SpecBas which did a bit ...

Re: SC Friday Quiz(TM): Hi-Res challenge!

You made me realise now that I totally suck at recognizing inlays It's probably my Polish background. Actually I have never seen any inlays in my Spectrum days. All we had were cassettes like this one: http://media.kotaku.foxtrot.future.net.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/2017/04/my.jpg Now, 30 years...

Re: Romantic Games

It’s Samantha for me. Maria was a bit . . . plain
Actually Maria Xmas Box is probably the ugliest strip poker on Spectrum and maybe the ugliest strip poker I have ever seen.

My dog would create better graphics than that :D
