Re: Cover Artists 2
Very interesting. So we can put Armageddon down as a "maybe". What's the story of the signed poster? It has two signatures: Edward Blair Wilkins and Bob Wakelin. The History of Ocean (linked above) goes in a little more detail, as outlined in the Road Frog Discussion. Ocean’s founders, ke...

Re: ZXDB Update - 22 May 2023
This update contains almost 1,200 new type-ins (IDs from 39550 to 40745). There's not enough room in this post to list them all, but you can see the full list here . This excerpt from "The History of Ocean" caught my eye: https://i.postimg.cc/Bjn8VY0X/Ocean1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/nC0rB4DZ/Ocean2.jpg Armageddon So, I started Googling and the style sure seems to match: http://3rd-art.blogspot.com/2013/12/edward-blair-wilkins.html https://www.isfdb.org...

I actually tried before asking, and was unable.
To be clear, the platforms already exist, the hyperlinks do not.

OK, I suggest we fix his name to Jez San ("Sands" is probably a mispelling) and credit those 3 mentioned authors as level designers in this game. And he is NOT part of the Zen Room ! https://ia800701.us.archive.org/view_archive.php?archive=/18/items/SpectruminlayArchive0withpublisherdetai...
Re: Magazines
The current choice on how to display original publisher at SpectrumComputing is a tradeoff to show as much useful information as possible while still keeping it fairly short. So, some suggestions: Cricket: https://i.postimg.cc/SYCHKhH4/Screenshot-2023-01-10-060949.jpg Original Publisher: ECC Public...

Re: Magazines
I think SpectrumComputing uses a good tradeoff. It shows the most relevant part of the available information without making it too long. Someone could argue that displaying the actual magazine publisher would be more "logical" than indicating the exact magazine issue, but which informatio...

He doesn't usually sign with his full name, most of his signatures are just "DB", At the moment he's not even in ZXDB himself. His entry and around 15 other covers credited to him are waiting for @druellan to process through the preservation tools. I hope you don’t mind me submitting all ...
Re: Magazines
Sure, then there is the question of a historic database, should it be correct or easy to work with?
Re: Magazines
I assume it would mean Einar changing the database structure which in turn means any site, application or tool using ZXDB would potentially need a rewrite of parts of the code, otherwise pages could stop working (unless Einar can keep both ways working). It's obviously up to Einar, but it needs som...
Re: Magazines
I have implemented your suggestion for covertapes. Now SC will automatically list all "CoverGame" links as magazine references in each covertape page. Thank you Einar Saukas , this is a definite improvement. Now, as mentioned in the Little bugs thread by StooB , perhaps a more correct met...
Re: Magazines
So, of the five already in, C&VG 36, 73 & 88 mag indexes already have a covertape entry that could presumably be linked. The other two are not linked to a mag at all.

This might just be a more generic compilation issue, where it shows both the compilation and game screens, which happen to be the one and same.sho wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 10:47 amCovertapes C&VG issue 036, C&VG issue 073 and C&VG issue 088 all have duplicate running screens.
