Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Another question: Could you please add "2browse file manager for esxDOS" .2browse https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=82141#p82141 into your download-package of "Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS" or do you want to keep this separate? To be honest, I'm...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
New test version available here . Added new plugins to support Pro Tracker 1.x modules (PT1) and multiArtist 8x4 images (MG4). Is anyone still using the .browse dot command or can I get rid of it and assume everyone is now using the NMI version? :) Thank you again for the new updates. Yes, I am usi...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
The .trd file can't be executed when created after selecting the .scl file but it's always succesfully saved and can be executed later.

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Hi Bob, Thank you for keeping on updating your file browser. The .scl plugin is a very good idea and in my real Spectrum+3 it creates the .trd in only a few seconds. But the plugin fails to execute the .trd file after creating it (I get an error) and the .trd file has a 8.3 filename. Maybe the two i...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Very nice idea the proportional font. I don't mind about the "n" but maybe the "h" is a bit too wide. A very small issue, when the filename consists of capital letters the file extension appears also in caps even if it's written in lowercase. For example the file "HATE.tap&q...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Here you have a link to my non-working snapshots.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ye85uyd8wir2 ... i4sFa?dl=0
And yes, snapshots created with default and Dr Slump's nmi work well.
Could you add an option to delete and rename files?

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
I've tested some 128k snapshots and through an hex dump I can see that the first bytes are the contents of the directory where the snapshot was created, which proves that something is miscalculated when they are saved on my real Spectrum +3. I guess that the reasons can be that I am using a card wit...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
I wanted to report that the snapshots created with the last version in nmi mode don't work on my real Spectrum +3. If I try to load them from the browser (both normal and nmi mode) or Dr. Slump's nmi the game isn't restored and I get random results. About the file info I only see the 8.3 filename. I...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Your new version works fine in my system, both the dot command and the nmi version. However, if you are planning to take the nmi path in my opinion that would be a lot of work because the nmi version would be only usable if it had all the features present in the official esxdos nmi handler or even b...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
The 2gb partition was fat16, it's the layout of my previous Gparted screenshot.
Don't worry about the sorting code, it seems that it fails only in some rare occassions.

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Great job, your new alpha is working as a charm with my two-partitions card! If you want to keep improving your code I can tell you that everything works with a 6,21 gb fat32 partition. However, when I first tried your new alpha on a 2 gb fat partition I got a correct directory display on the root o...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
Before trying to send a card image I wanted to tell you that maybe I didn't use the right words to describe my issue. As you can see in the attached screenshot taken from Gparted my 8 Gb card has a first extended partition with 1 Gb of unallocated space needed to be used by the +3e and after a parti...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
I think the problem lies in the allocation unit size. I've been formatting the card (the one with two partitions) with different sizes, always FAT32. With some of them I get garbage in the directory listing, with others weird characters or blank listings.

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
I have tested your new alpha, that was fast! Editing the config file with an hex editor to change the colour scheme works as intended. Accesing a second partition after entering 2 instead of 1 in byte 7 of the config file works only half way. The command seems to access the partition because the scr...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
As a small suggestion, could you tell us where to poke the code to change the colour scheme? In my LCD TV the difference between white and bright white is not big enough. Thanks for the kind words and feedback. I am looking at adding a configuration file so you can specify the colours and maybe the...

Re: New File Browser for ZX-UNO
First of all, congratulations for your hard work, it's really impressive. Your .dot file works great on a real Spectrum +3 equipped with a DivMMC Enjoy and a card with a single partition. However, it doesn't work with a card with two partitions, in my case the first one for +3e and the second one fo...
