Double check to make sure you have the capacitors on the Datacorder side installed correctly. There are really only four connections between the logic board and the Datacorder: +5V, ground, audio in, and audio out. Looks smooth enough to me. I’d increase the space by at least one pixel. Depending on the slant of some of the letters, the spacing between words look a bit on the tight side.

I checked online and the tape/sound jack is apparently just a headphones plug, so now I can't load games from my phone on it as a temporary solution. If you’re targeting the original Spectrums and not the clones, you really just need three Spectrums: 1. The original 48K 2. Either the original 128K or the Spectrum +2 3. Either the +3 or the +2A(B).
