Re: Spec Resolutions 2018

Now that Lost In My Spectrum has been 'rebooted', I want to apply the same treatment to Apulija-13 and Funky Fungus. With a better AGD at my disposal, and the experience I accumulated in the past few years, I am sure I can make them better and more enjoyable than ever ;) Happy New Year folks! :D

New version: LOST IN MY SPECTRUM v2.0

Hi everybody! Here is my New Year's gift to you: the new version of my first Spectrum game ever, Lost In My Spectrum. The objective is simple - help Alessandro escape from his Spectrum by collecting all the objects in each screen and reaching the exit (although a couple of screens don't have any!) b...

Re: Scuba Dive

To be honest I never liked it that much. I did not play it back in the day, and had to force myself playing it years ago for a Speccy Tour. I found it rather repetitive, and also unforgiving at times, as other folks here did.

But that shark is really impressive!

Re: New game: Dredd Over Eels

I second that; lovely in-game art as well. Unfortunately these 3D Game Maker titles are too thin in the gameplay department for my likings - just find an object to zap and that's it. That program is nowhere near as versatile as, say, AGD.

Re: Poll: Games by Costa Panayi

Cyclone, definitely. Tornado Low Level was a bit thin in gameplay for my likings, I did not like the Android games - only forced myself to play the second for a Speccy Tour - and the Alien Highway/Highway Encounter titles, whilst technically impressive, did never appeal that much to me. Deflektor wo...

Re: Nightshade or Gunfright?

I like Gunfright best: the sense of progression as you gun the various outlaws down, the mad rides on the fake horse, plus the Western setting - which I like so much but unfortunately is not so common on the Spec - are all reasons that make me prefer it over Nightshade. That's not to say Nightshade ...

Re: Poll: Raffaele Cecco's Best Game

Raffaele is one of my main sources of inspiration, in terms of both graphical style and gameplay, and almost all of his games are true gems in my opinion. But should I choose one, my vote goes to Exolon. A real masterpiece.

And a big thank you to the SC staff and everyone else who keeps the Spectrum scene alive well into the 21st century. Best wishes :D :D :D

Re: Yie Ar Kung Fu

The 128K version was only released as part of the Stars on the 128K compilation. I like it more than the 48K version - AY music and more enemies (I believe it includes all the levels of the coin-op), and a lovely new loading screen to boot. A good conversion and a great game in itself, only a touch ...

A better in-game screen for Sophia.

Also please update the description by adding the Russian and Swedish language versions.
