Re: ZX BASIC: Test for 48/128k system

The silicon disk is only accessible on the 128K models. The syntax to do that is different however: On the 128K/+2, commands must be followed by an exclamation mark, e.g. SAVE! "program" LINE 10, LOAD! "code" CODE etc. On the +2A/+3, filenames must be preceded by m: , e.g. SAVE "m:program" LINE 10, ...

Re: I've made a one liner - called Line

Nice! I managed to get to level 10 on my first go.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you make the game run upon loading?

Re: ZX BASIC: Test for 48/128k system

Some years ago I asked the same to Einar. He suggested me this method, which I have been employing ever since:

Code: Select all

PRINT PEEK 2899
Returns 165 for a 48K, 159 for a 128K/+2 (under 128 as well as 48 BASIC) and 126 for a +2A/+2B/+3 (ditto).

Re: Ad Lunam

Andre Leao Glad you liked v0.1 :D Try v0.2 then, there's a lot more there, although many of the changes will be "under the hood" and evident only if you peruse the source files. Of course I wish the game to be judged in its final version, although this does not mean that the proper release could no...

Re: The 'looking for a game' thread.

Abyss maybe? I wouldn't call it crap though, I enjoyed it back in the day (as an Italian unauthorized translation on a Load 'n' Run tape magazine issue), and the quests seemed rather fair to me. I never completed it anyway!

Re: Sorcery+

It was not granted a separate entry being an updated version only found in the Now Games 3 compilation, never released on its own in fact. Uridium Plus was never released on its own either but that didn't stop it getting a separate entry . Well, what can I say? Another inconsistency in the old data...

Re: Bonaventura Di Bello?

Bonaventura is his real name, I can confirm this. I don't know him personally but my friends at the VIGAMUS in Rome do, and he has been a guest for various events held there. I also mentioned him in the Spectrumpedia with that name.

Max surely is his brother Massimiliano.
