Re: New version: LOST IN MY SPECTRUM v2.0

Bugfix - 21.08.2018 A bug that affected the English 48K version, preventing the 1st level block from starting, has been fixed. The whole download package has been updated and is now available at the usual link . The version on the Al's Double Bill disk-only compilation is not affected by this issue.

Re: Speccy help needed!

I'm way from being an expert on the hardware aspects, but the 48K rubber key Spectrum I purchased with the composite mod had a standard aerial lead with a SCART connector at the end and it works with modern TVs on the AV setting. You can get the cables on eBay for a couple of pounds. Same for me, a...

Yes, sorry. That’ll teach me to copy my own code without reading it or checking it’s the correct version.
No probs at all :) you showed me the right direction after all.

Now, there is only question 2 left...

Re: Questions about FZX

Tsk :x I should have minded that OR A instruction, it was a leftover from Seven's code. Thanks for pointing that out. As for the attributes, I believe I will have to print the text in an area of the screen where there is no need for them, e.g. plain blocks of text, and leave higlighted text to a cus...

You'd have to write your own routine, standard FZX doesn't cater for colour as it doesn't operate within attribute boundaries.*
:( Bummer.

You might find z88dk useful for FZX too.
Unfortunately it's of no use to me because I cannot code in C.

Questions about FZX

1. How do you change the color of a text block printed with FZX? The INK command does not work. 2. Is there a way to implement FZX in ZX-Basic (i.e. "Boriel's Basic")? The compiler won't accept the PRINT#4 command (whereas the old and reliable HiSoft BASIC will). 3. Is there a way to implement the F...

It seems you have to logically deduce the answer based on provided clues, therefore it's a "puzzle" game.
I was uncertain about it in fact ("it could be filed under" etc.).
