Re: Compact 64 column print routine

Hello everyone, this is my first post on these forums. :) Welcome to this forum! I started learning Z80 assembly several years ago but I didn't really do anything with it apart from a few flashy screen effects. So now I've decided to come back to it and attempt to make an actual game, starting with...

Yes, both are the same: Roger Tissyman is the correct name.
Thank you! This will be fixed in the next ZXDB update.

Re: Cover artists

Both Roger Tyssiman and Roger Tissyman were mentioned in this thread.

May I assume they are the same person, and the correct spelling is Roger Tissyman?

Re: Cybernoid clones?

Some time ago, I made a personal list of clones for Hewson games on the Spectrum. Probably Uridium is the more cloned Hewson game ever (there's a load of clones on the C64, for instance), but on the Speccy I think Cybernoid and Exolon were more influential. * Shark (Players Premier, 1989). Cyberoni...

Search for 'Arkanoid 2' doesn't work.
This should work after the next ZXDB update.

Also "&" and "and". A search for "Horace and the Robots" returns no results; "Horace & the Robots" works.
This should be working now.

Searching for "Break/Space" yields no results, but searching for "Break Space" returns "Break/Space".
This should be working now.

Re: 2 or II searches

I have worked for yellow pages, on it's search engine, and currently what I see reported here is entering this kind of complex search engine. This requires a special index structure, besides a normal SQL database and it's search capabilities. Note however, that this kind of support, takes a lot of ...

Re: Moving a 2x2 pixel 'ball' around the screen

2x2 pix is a bit of a pain, it can spread over two bytes so it's like a sprite, but it would feel a bit daft to have a preshifted 2x2box. Preshifting a 2x2 ball would only take 7 frames of 1 byte each, and a special case for the 8th frame when it spreads over two bytes. I think it would feel a bit ...
