3. Raid Over Moscow?
Nope. (what was your thinking?)

Re: Anti-piracy systems...

On a similar theme last night I found myself reading an ancient post on crazy old Bruce Everiss's blog, at https://www.bruceongames.com/2008/03/25/piracy-imagine-software-and-the-megagames . There, he suggests that Imagine went to fifth-colour process for the inlay cards, to scupper industrial coun...

Re: Anti-piracy systems...

When Durell hit their stride, they issued their games as blue plastic cassettes. The leader (the transparent plastic part of the tape that you'd have at the very beginning/end) had a tiny Durell logo repeatedly printed on it. Ah yes, interesting one -- though it didn't really present any barrier to...

Re: Anti-piracy systems...

Dinamic released the System SD1 interface that came with Camelot Warriors. It had to be inserted in the Spectrum slot before loading the game. When the game loaded, it checked if the interface was inserted and the game run ok. Without it the game couldn't be played. It has the size of a die, easy t...

Anti-piracy systems...

I happened upon this logo earlier: https://s22.postimg.cc/r38p9xddp/cartshoplogo.jpg ...and my brain instantly conjured up this: https://s22.postimg.cc/fqw3s724t/jswcard.jpg ...which is of course the Jet Set Willy code chart that was included with the original cassette (and that I laboriously copied...

Re: ZX Vega+ Discussion

I'm going to put my head above the parapet and say I honestly believed it would be coming out back in 2016. Some of the rather aggressive and immature language from Retro Computers's critics made me think that the project was just a plucky underdog and being held back by bitter fallouts. By early 2...

Re: ZX Vega+ Discussion

Yes you can make honest mistakes but to never question or follow up problems really exposes those who are in it for themselves and see their ad revenue or dreams of a free console going up in smoke. ...and there's the nub. I'd never think less of someone for having been hoodwinked by spivs but to n...

Re: ZX Vega+ Discussion

There you go then. 16 by Jonathan Cauldwell, 2 by Visions Software Factory. Good work for sure but at this juncture the number/lack of games, and their authorship, is little more than a distraction from the main event -- which is the continued non-delivery of the product proper. For better or worse...
