Re: Star Wars Scroller Routine
Bloody brilliant!
During the early 90s I remember seeing an Atari ST demo in a shop performing the opening Star Wars scroller and wondered how it was done.
Now it's on the Spectrum....
Thank you indeed.

Re: Laser squad a.i.
Many many years ago I wrote a map editor for Laser Squad mainly for editing the moonbase level. On the original moonbase map what I found was that the computer controlled troops were placed into the map from a pre-programmed list of starting places. These did not match up with some of the deployment...

Re: Retro Electro Workshop
As the audience screamed "Nooooooooo!" as the repair bloke drilled through the Atari case to fit the composite mod. It was a +2, probably black, with a broken cassette hinge, with a Manic Miner tape. There was another +2 unit on the shelf when the guy placed his hand holding the tape next ...

Re: Why did Newsfield not bring our Amiga and ST magazines?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Games_Machine Games Machine covering Amiga / ST / PC gaming from 1987. If you want them as single mag for each computer then it may have worked. There was 'ST Amiga Format' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ST/Amiga_Format for from 1988 for about a year until it split i...

Re: Homebrew developers: a couple of questions, this goes hypothetical
That's a question I've asked myself many times for many years.... Bomb Munchies. A game based in the style of Eric and the Floaters/Bomberman. Multiplayer that requires 4 joysticks/pads to really gain no key lockouts. Joefish's K-55 interface hasn't come into existance yet (nor K95 for that matter),...
