Re: Wonderful Dizzy
I found a way of walking on the clouds when exiting from the Emerald Castle, but when I approached it I only managed to jump from the well to the only cloud in the poppies field screen. Then from there I jumped as far to the right as I could, but it was too tall for old egg face, and he sat down fo...

Absolutely so. Both labels are the same person: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.php?cat=999&label_id=278 https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.php?cat=999&label_id=160 Alexander Konstantinov. He is marked as from Russia, but as far as I see on zx.pk.ru on his profile, he is from Ukrain...

Re: ZXDB based Open API
Thank you! I'm planning to integrate ZX-Art with api.zxinfo.dk. Connecting to API is much easier than manual importing of a large database to ZX-Art's hosting and running the syncronization each time I remember about updates
So looking forward to a new format, let's make an automatization.

Re: ZX-Image
Well, I had to add ... include_once('../../../../vendor/autoload.php'); And it works now ... Yep, as a composer library it depends on composer's autoloading of classes. So instead of manually including the file with class it's being taken from an agreed location automatically. https://www.php.net/m...

Re: ZX-Image
@PeterJ I have implemented the newest version of ZX-Image on the server. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/ssx-example.php How I noticed, SCR cache never worked. And I don't know if there was your intention. I have created 'SCRcache' folder. But I guess it will be generated huge number of files on th...

Re: ZX-Image
I've managed to transpile the latest version of library into PHP7.0-compatible code using Rector. This is feature/PHP7.0 branch in Github, I've also made a separate tag 5.2.0.1 for this release. So if you need version for 7.0, then please run the following composer command in root of your project. c...

Re: SAM Coupé screenshot format
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=3786 - added topic for zx-image discussions.
Shortly: SSX is fully supported now, mime is fixed, now I'll try to transpile it for older PHPs.
Update: PHP7.0 compatible version is ready to run, described in topic above.

Re: ZX-Image
Today update: 1. Fixed a lot of issues which appeared during my switch to psalm static analysis. Some of formats were not working at all 2. I've added example for each format supported by library, so currently they are all working (at least with my test data) 3. Added support for SSX-Raw 4. Fixed is...

Re: SAM Coupé screenshot format
Sorry guys, I was a bit busy with real life lately. Will look into issues and provide support for SSX. I was targeting the PHP7.4 really lately and I'm eager to switch to a fresh 8.0 with all its features. However, I will take a look at how to provide the support for 7.0, there should be some transp...

Re: Screenshots
The ZX81 screen only contains 256x192 pixels without attributes, so nothing can be lost in a conversion to SCR (using black INK/white PAPER). Although it would be even better to store ZX81 screens as a simple sequence of 24x32=768 bytes (one byte for each character on screen). Perhaps we can convin...

There is only one viewer supporting BSC format as far as I know. The Viewer: https://zxart.ee/eng/software/tool/media-admin/the-viewer https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/34669/Pentagon_128/The_Viewer It's for pentagon and TR-DOS only. As far as I remember there is no editor for this mode. I can w...

Re: New WoS and ZXDB
Nobody wants to roll in mud really. It's taking time and forces which could be spent on something better. But. If Einar just remains silent, then Lee will be the only one who speaks, and he will speak a lot, he wont just stop. I have the same experience from the very similar situation: if Einar rest...

Re: New WoS and ZXDB
My thoughts: There wont be any peaceful resolution. Lee won't admit that he has used a lot of ZXDB information. No apologies would be made. Current WOS team is lost to common sense or logical actions. We need to accept this and move on, that's the new reality we are living in: 1. There won't be one ...

Re: New WoS and ZXDB
PHP-FPM can be used instead of mod_php. Mod_php is an Apache extension that put the full PHP runtime into each Apache child process. I don't think SC uses PHP-FPM, but HHVM instead. Which is a facebook-optimised PHP runtime. But you still need some http server, whether it is FPM or mod_php. And it ...

Re: New WoS and ZXDB
Offloading PHP from Apache into a process manager means apache child process can be much smaller. Not every request needs a PHP engine -- static assets certainly don't. So you can get Apache to deal with the static asset requests (and redirections, ssl handshakes, authentication, etc.), and proxy t...
