Re: Cover Artists 2

Black Magic: Thomas J Clement Per C64/128 inlay which has the same cover. Hi! I'm reviewing cover artists again, and found this case. The manual says: Documentation illustrated by Thomas J. Clement. But I'm not sure if it is related also to the cover. I was looking at the manual for Saracen (https:...

Re: Preservation Tools - Submissions Feedback/Q/A

Hi @Juan F. Ramirez about your entry here:
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/zxdb/ad ... ge_sql.txt

Can you clarify a bit what map are you referring to? Seems that some information got lost on the post, or perhaps it is already fixed.
Thanks!

Code: Select all

POKE 52796,24
POKE 52797,03
The game starts at the mini-game instead of Booty.

Re: Booty Currah uSpeech minigame

Thanks Inky, I was thinking the same, because I missed it the first time I tested it using your emulator because I thought the game crashed. Also, the game is kind of not aware of the Currah interface at all, since it is not stopping the first keystroke to pass to the speech system, something often ...

Re: Booty Currah uSpeech minigame

Perfect! Thanks @Morkin I'm going to try and wait on the main menu on other emulators, I'm now curious if the thing works on all of them. Also, I'm going to upload that screengrab to the game entry, as a proof that the minigame exists.

Booty Currah uSpeech minigame

Hi! Some investigation I'm doing, perhaps someone can help. Booty (https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/633/ZX-Spectrum/Booty) has the following comment on the game entry: "Loading the game with a Currah Microspeech unit attached activates a hidden mini-game, where the player must dive to catc...

As always, many thanks to everyone contributing. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/forums/viewtopic....

Oh no! I truly admired Gibson. His early works on Imagine grabbed my attention as a kid, and you can see his work and creativity spreading to many titles from Ocean and Denton Designs. A sad day indeed. :(

@StooB oh I see the issue now: the old mag references are still there and are incorrect, probably because we need to remove legacy data. I think I can fix that now. Thanks Stoob!

Re: Little bugs in the database 5

Hi StooB . I'm looking at this report by Radek, that is quite interesting. Seems that the compilation Dark Force listed here: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/11640/ZX-Spectrum/Dark_Force, is in fact not the same compilation as the "Dark Force" that was advertised and even reviewed in...

Re: NEW THEME! for the Spectrum Computing Forums

Hi! And yeah, the original spinner was broken and didn't show up properly when you like or you subscribe to a topic. When I fixed it, I noticed the GIF was not good for dark backgrounds, so I decided to replace it. The loading animation is cute, but I'm not 100% sure I like it, it is kind of visuall...

Hi. A new version of the dark theme is available now. Very small improvements, but I noticed some alerts and popups still having unreadable white backgrounds, so hope those are finally fixed.

Re: Preservation Tools - Submissions Feedback/Q/A

Yeah, looks strange - on my list for this entry I've noted this: 1) Create new entry in ZXDB 2) Upload TZX 3) Upload SCR 4) Add relation to ZX Spectrum entry Maybe it could be that I've already did Step 4 when doing step 1 - and then again later? Looking at the entry, it doesn't seem to miss any of...

Re: The Release Date Project

Seems Gargoyle Games began their advertising campaign for The Siege of Earth trilogy with release dates. https://i.postimg.cc/TKwVhMsk/Fu-Des-Q2-WIAMP-SY.png As the other two games were never released, I don't know if these dates can be trusted. But anyway, we can: Add the release date for Marsport ...
