Re: Spectrum Show 101
Yes, the Speccy does not know any difference, it just thinks there is a disk in the drive. I don't have a M3, but everything else I have tried software wise, just treats it like a disk without any issues.

Re: Your own lost software
The one I can imagine least is @PaulJ's kitchen designer! I wouldn't buy it now (they probably use VU-3D these days), but I like the idea that it was a possibility to do serious spectrum. Presumably coded when you were working here ? (One of the few text adventures I've actually completed btw, and ...

Not sure where to post this but… In a recent batch of Speccy related goods I have found a few paper items that I can’t see in the database. Forgive me if I’ve been looking in the wrong place! Just wondering if they are of interest at all.. Care of your ZX Microdrive Cartridge: Folded leaflet Various...

Re: Your own lost software
Ooo a lot of good stuff. I have 95% of my BASIC games (and hand drawn inlays) from 83 onwards. Where it went wrong was went I bought a Microdrive. I then stored all my stuff on those, and when I sold it.. they all went. I didn't think I would need them again! The things I can remember.. 1. ADAPT - A...

Re: Boriel’s compiler HRprint
I have not had this issue, works for me. At a guess - for the deletion prior to re-printing are you sure you're over printing at the previous y coord and not at the new incremented coord? I made a few such errors during my implementation. Ahhh yes... knew it would be something blatant I was missing...

Boriel’s compiler HRprint
Has anyone got to grips with this command, or can offer help? I have a graphic consisting of 2 UDGs.. (AB). I can get HRprint to work fine when moving horizontally, but vertical movement causes the bottom or top lines of the 8 pixel block to remain on screen causing a smearing effect. I have tried u...

Not a commercial game, but it is listed on Lemon:
My game Baldy (https://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=4015) was released by me on the Speccy (BaldyZX).
Does that count

Re: NEW PRESERVATION TOOLS
Quick question. What if the item is not game related? For example I want to upload the Transform 1984 catalogue and other non-game documentation, or documentation that covers the company in general rather than one specific title. I also have all the material (manuals, TZX and photographs) for the He...

Re: Clone Wars (Space Invaders): vote
Space Evaders was a hacked version of Space Raiders. Not much changed, but the machine code for the game was published as a readers own game!
My fav has to the Artic one though.

Re: Interface 1 & Microdrives - packaging queries
Hello Paul, Yes, I'd be interested in seeing the packaging. Not having owned that particular box myself, I can only guess from looking at the photos that it looks a lot like that flimsy / brittle plastic you get in things like toys. Can anyone confirm this? Here it is... looks the same. It was just...

Re: Krazy Kong... how many levels?
I played it in my Kong shootout and looped to level two a few times. Ever since I have been asking people to hunt for the third screen. I believe it could also be compiled BASIC. One note, if you load the TAP into a text editor you can clearly see the levels if you set the width to 32 chars and loo...

Re: New game: Castle of Dr Game
Trudge I’m afraid. Maybe I should have marked the doors or provided some other way to inform the player which order they are. Yeah, that's a real shame. Huge flaw in an otherwise really spiffy little game that's right in my sweet zone. 25% off. (And I don't actually see any merit/point in it. What ...
