Re: Emulator integrated with Pasmo assembler

I made a little experiment and let the emulator load the symbol table which Pasmo generates into the debugger, like this: https://s22.postimg.cc/fxjpwgv19/Symbols.png The symbols are stored in an array in parallel with the memory array. It would be nice to pre-load the labels from a ROM disassembly ...

Re: Testing emulators using z80test-1.0. Quck results

Nice work. I'm testing your emulator and I can say it looks promising. It plays the Gyroscope music quite well, something not all emulators are able to do. I can't hear any specially hard to emulate on Gyroscope music. It's a simple tune, really. From my POV emulate Fairlight, Sidewize, Cobra, Mad ...

May I add the results for SoftSpectrum48 (it was a pain though :geek: ): https://s33.postimg.cc/byxh082vf/softspectrumz80fullresult.png Nice work. Re: Emulator integrated with Pasmo assembler

Thank you for the feedback Ralf. You have a good point about the possible advantages with this solution. Maybe this just reveals the fact that I'm not an assembly programmer myself  and that I haven't investigated how to set up an efficient workflow the way you describe it. ...

Emulator integrated with Pasmo assembler

This is just a first version, but it would be interesting to hear what you think of my effort to integrate the Pasmo assembler into my emulator, and if you have any suggestions for improvements. The way it works is that you select an .asm file and let the emulator invoke the assembler, which saves t...

Re: PC keyboard layout.

I have tried to adapt my emulator for Swedish and UK keyboards so that you don't have to remember the Spectrum keyboard layout. Actually, I haven't been able to test the UK keyboard layout myself so if anyone would like to give it a try and report back to me I would be grateful. Here is how it works...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Thanks R-Tape! I'm sure I'll enjoy the forum (been lurking here for some time already :))

Yes, ZX Spin is a great emulator (I just recently discovered it). I might look into integrating an assembler some time, it would be quite interesting I think.

Re: Introduce yourself!

Almost there Ast A. Moore. Just one thing: In Swedish "välkomna" is used to address several people, whereas "välkommen" is used to address one person. Complicated, I know :). However, the meaning was clear from the start, and I thank you again for your kind wel...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hej Ast A. Moore! Thank you. I wouldn't say that you butchered that. Rather, it looks like some sort of hybrid "Scandinavian" - everything is probably correct in at least one of the Scandinavian languages, if not always in Swedish. I appreciate the effort though . C...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi! Thank you for a great site and forum! It is amazing how the old Speccy still has such an active community. I got my first 16K Spectrum in the early eighties, having seen adverts for it in some of the English computer magazines available in Sweden at the time. Actually, I was dreaming about getti...
