Re: A request for new tags
Please add 2 tags for bosses. - first one for the final boss, e.g. Draconus - and another for level bosses, e.g. Silkworm; this tag is also Maybe best if we populate the groups first, then Einar can decide? Some multiple level boss games: Rainbow Islands, Dragon Ninja, New Zealand Story, R-Type, X-...

I'm a day late, but I rediscovered this thread, and the text adventure Lost in Wales. It's no frills, but written well enough. After only a few moves I've had to rouse a slumbering sheep...

Re: Interrupt routine for Vortex Tracker
Music data will be at 40000 and the vtplayer at 49152. If you haven't already, check that the music data isn't being expanded over other code. It gets bigger when you start using it - I always put it after the player and leave a gap after that. I can't check the code in detail right now, but can he...

Polished and fun. It's getting a lot out of MPAGD too - more than just horizontally patrolling baddies. Great work @Packobilly

Tardigrade fix
Just letting you know that PROSM has fixed my 16K game from 2021 so that it loads on any Spectrum (previously it was 16K only). Thanks! https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/SCRtoImage.php?SCR=zxdb/sinclair/entries/0037904/0037904-load-1.scr&border=0 The file is temporarily here until the next update,...

Music wanted: Sailing By by Ronald Binge
I'm after a version of "Sailing By" if anyone is in the mood for composing. It can be BEEPER, AY, can be as simple or as fancy as you like, as long as it's recognisable.

I've been training this week using the High Score Challenge version from JSWMM , as well as JetSetDanny's rzx files for each level , and now have my route for Solar Power Generator worked out. So really it's just Skylab to go, and I can have a bash at completing the thing. Nearly there, and IMO you...

Re: The best Speccy game by Software Supersavers: vote
Like Blaby, I have a soft spot for Software Supersavers' games (or the inlays at least), and I suppose 'soft spot' means they all have a touch of naffness about them. I only knew a few of them so gave them all a quick blast: 1 - Super Chopper 2 - Shuttle Shock 3 - Loony Lander Super Chopper is just ...

Had to answer a LOT of questions for this. I suspected as much when the loader has a whole bunch of "Character array: " blocks. Bloody Nora, you're not kidding. I got past 60 questions before I gave up - they were so loaded that it was obvious what the answer was going to be anyway. Loade...

Yep very articulate (I'm jealous!). I assumed he's Welsh but going by his forum personae (he used to be here as @Bizzley) I imagined someone with a bit more needle.

Thanks. Listened to Byte High Bob Pape, and it sounds like there's another to come. Bob comes across really well. I think toy cars got as much mention as computers! There were plenty of juicy bits (also in the book), but I did chuckle at the revelation about Miles Gordon Technology in Swansea : I kn...

The trouble is, looking at my Speccy tapes, pretty much everything except VU-CALC sounds like a cocktail!
