Re: Add loading screen to .tap file
Hi again oblo , Personally, I use Basin's Tape Creator utility -it's simple and gets the work done. But if you need more features to work with tape blocks, ZX Blockeditor is a good option. Maybe a step by step of how you got the contents of the screen grab you attached please? D Ok, I'm assuming yo...

Re: Arcade Game Designer
Hi. I've downloaded the Multi-Platform Arcade Game Designer 0.7.2 and start to read documentation before try anything. Anyway, do AGD support no gravity/loose inertia (I don't know how to put it), something like an astronaut in space or a top-down car like Ironman Offroad, or something like that, we...

Re: Introduce yourself!
Welcome @@oblo Just to let you know that the first two games are available on the main Spectrum Computing website without the need to go elsewhere: https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.php?cat=999&label_id=15743 I'm sure @R-Tape will add the other two, if that is OK with you? Of course, no pro...

O-EYES
Hi all I've just finished my last game: O-EYES, a ZX Spectrum port of the arcade game EYES. Don't know why but I like it to play some quick rounds, so I decided to make this version. Oh, and as you can see, I've used the ol' and cheap trick to print in the inlay an arcade screenshot, instead of an a...

Re: Couple of ideas for next project
With regards to the FF bok, would you be doing this as a text adventure or similar to the existing FF games for mobile devices which have the dice role option and are a pure version of the books? As similar as a FF, with fights, roll dices, lucky rolls, multiple choices, etc... Scorpion Swamp and D...

Couple of ideas for next project
Hi all I'm thinking on several games for my next project; they are a bit far away from my technical skills but I'd would like to give them a go, so here are: - Fighting Fantasy gamebook games, both a port of an existing book and/or an original story; in fact, I've wrote the first part and have ideas...

Re: How to get started coding for ZX?
If you want some performance without knowing assembler, boriel's ZX Basic compiler can be an option (in fact, that's what I use) Programming is in BASIC but with a few more features and less limitations than the original BASIC; the result is compiled code and also you can use assembler routines, so ...

Re: Introduce yourself!
Greetings from Spain! Long-time ZX Spectrum user, I started borrowing/using 48ks from friends/school and learning from programming books that were on the public library, until I could afford a +2A. Since then, I like to "mess" with anything about our speccys (gaming, harware and software) ...
