Good evening,
The update is complete (a little earlier than planned). One of the new games as Einar mentioned in another thread is Break/Space.

Re: Redirect forums to https
OK. Thanks Mark. I will continue looking. I'm using Chrome and I get the full secured site on that page, but will install Firefox and try it. We are out this weekend but will make it a priority.
Re: Logo
The logo has been tweaked. Thanks to 4thRock for this.
We also found a way to make the logo link back to the forum homepage and we will implement this once tested.
We won't be changing much else, as it makes it harder when doing upgrades.

Re: Redirect forums to https
Hello. It's pages where users have inserted images hosted elsewhere. This page of this thread is currently fine.
I'm aware of the issue, and need to find a time to look at fixes, but for now it is as it is. Sorry.
Someone posted some possible solutions earlier in the week that I will look at.

Re: World of Spectrum....
I think everyone needs to be very careful here. Much mud slinging has taken place over an extended period of time - and in my humble opinion it is now time to stop. This is not aimed at anyone specifically, but to everyone - Please, please, please think before you type - and use your common sense! ...

Re: Sub forums for the Programming section
On a related note, where would I be posting things about SpecBAS, should there be anything to post in the near future? Are we religiously Spectrum-only, or are Spectrum-related themes Ok? Broad Sinclair related is fine. I would place SpecBAS in the development forum for now. When it's time for a se...

Re: Sub forums for the Programming section
OK. I agree we will hold fire on extra sub forums until the forums start to grow. It's pretty straightforward to move posts around in the forum software once needed.
We will add the extra sub forums as soon as needed.

Re: Improved handling of displaying new posts
OK, I have moved recent topics to the top of the page. On the right hand side of the block there is a little icon to the right of the username who posted last. Click that and it takes you to the latest post.
There is no more configuration available. I hope that solves the problem?

ZXDB Update Thread
I will post here advance warning of when I will be updating our version of ZXDB. Because we choose to delete the database first, there will be 5-10 minutes when the main website will be unavailable.
The next update will on Thursday 16 November at some time between 20:00 and 22:00 GMT.

Recent Topics
Good evening,
I have moved the 'recent topics' to the top of the home page. This has the advantage of showing who last posted on that topic.
The other option is for it to go at the bottom of the page, or back to the side.
Let me know what you think.

Re: Collecting missing screens
Hi, Peter. Spectra Blitz is a special case, I guess? Is it possible to display the Spectra screen modes in this website's viewer? There's also a Spectra Snake demo by Bloodbaz and a Spectra version of AGD by Jonathan Cauldwell, but I don't know if they'd count as full releases (they're certainly no...

A nice chap called Daniel has rebuild the old Sinclair User website from copies he found on Wayback Machine. Its available here:

We are in the process of changing links on the main website so they link to the new site.

Re: Logo
A member of the SC Development team is working on a replacement for the standard phpBB logo and a few other tweaks. There will not be major changes to the design as it means more to manage.

Re: World of Spectrum....
I've jumped ship for this place, ever since the phrase "zxdb" was blocked on WoS. It's a shame, but I don't see the site surviving much longer now - but we really, really need a backup of all the files in the database. Quite a few of my scanned books are up there. Hello Paul, Nice to have...
