Re: How I find [CENSORED] game
An idea springs to me, whether this would appease either side, who knows, but i'll add it anyway. Do, don't, i don't care... Only forum registered members can search the database and get the dodgy results back IF they choose "Adult Content - YES" in their profile. Anyone else, gets nothing...

Re: Devfinitive Edition (Costa Panayi): discussion
I think it'll go along the lines of... Best compilation from Ocean Best compilation from US Gold ...and so on. Then pit the top compilation of each company together in a poll. Not a perfect plan. I wouldn't. The polls have already decided top 3 from publishers, authors etc, the tape would just be t...

Re: Devfinitive Edition (Costa Panayi): discussion
Looks spot-on to me. Some 8-bit classics in that list - I always feel Costa gets a little left out in great Speccy coder discussions. Highway Encounter is one of the greatest 8-bit games of all time, never mind just on the Speccy. So you can guess where my vote will be going . A great list of ...

Re: The best rereleased Speccy game by Alternative Software: discussion
The trap door is similar, it looks great, technically amazing...but it's just obscure puzzles...wandering about... Absolutely NOT just wandering about. You did have to figure out what to do, but once you did, what a fun game. The worms went into the cup. The seeds got planted to grow eyeballs, then...

I won't be voting. I cannot split Trap Door, Skool Daze, Popeye, Everyones a Wally and Rocky Horror Show.
These are all amongst my top Speccy games of all time, it'd be like Sophies Choice.

A great bunch of games here... Got lots of enjoyment from lots of these. Ah Diddums Alchemist Arcadia Jumping Jack Zip Zap Zzoom Another tough top 3. Alchemist was the best for the "figuring it out" part. Jumping Jack is the game i'll go back to more than any other here. Ah Diddums was a f...

I owned a "copy" of Laser Squad but it never loaded, as much as i tried. Always thought i would enjoy this game as much as, if not more than, Rebelstar, but i never actually played it. Ever! I know i can change that fact easily now, but who has time to play games, i spend all my time colle...

Re: Which year did you get your first Spectrum?
Xmas 1983. 1 year after launch roughly. Parents got it second hand, but it was boxed and complete and immaculate. It was set up in another room at my grans house ready to go, we all opened our presents and i got a bundle of 6 boxes of 15 minute cassettes, 5 tapes per box. Think they were from Boots....

Hi. Not tried new version as yet, just wanted ot post this... "The laser - the intention of having the laser on the sides is to allow two to be attached at once if the player collects two power-ups. It does look and play a little 'odd', so I'll look into this. Maybe have the first one connect i...

Full Tosec collection for me, always up to date and left as is... Thats on my NAS and RomVault keeps that sorted for me. Then i have a manually filtered subset of all the TOSEC stuff sorted into named folders. Any new games that come out over time will go into these folders too. 14/05/2023 15:06 <DI...

Lots of good improvements. Played through on Normal again, completed it. New menu and graphics throughout the game all good. Not sure the bricks are displaying correctly on the help page, showing the 1, 2 and 3 strong bricks, they are just shades of grey (with same pattern). Then ingame they are all...

Juggernaut (Loved how you had to be quick and efficient, but couldn't speed and how it was hard to reverse without jack-knifing the vehicle. Tough to master, but great fun). Tau Ceti (I never had instructions, never understood what to do, but i kept coming back to it and playing it (best i knew how)...

Re: Batty remake released!
Hi. Thanks for making this free. I am a sucker for breakout clones, always enjoyed Batty on the Speccy and MegaBall on the Amiga, then DXBall on PC but i'm a cheapskate so would never buy a game off itchio unless i knew what i was getting into, knew the author or REALLY enjoyed a demo. Well i notice...
