Re: Favourite magazine type-in

It's good to see titles from Microhobby mentioned. With the help of the OCR enabled PDFs from KenD I have very much been enjoying the magazine. Very different to English language titles.

Ast A. Moore Users can disable notifications on their control panel if they wish. Hopefully they won't need to though.....

I'm pleased it works with users who have spaces in their username like yous.

Re: Adding images

Ralf, I have looked again at your question and have come across an extension which I have installed for people to test. Under the message window you will see in blue text 'Add image to post'. Click that and you can then upload an image to 'PostImage' and display it in your post. I'm testing it in th...

Simple Mentions

Good afternoon, I'm just off out to see Paddington 2 (I'm so rock and roll!), but wanted to quickly mention that I have installed an extension to allow mentions. Just start with the '@' character and then start typing the username. You will then see a drop-down list which you can select from. The us...

Favourite magazine type-in

Whats your favourite magazine type-in game? I'm going to start you off with Birdy which appeared in Your Computer magazine in 1985. Its a Pengo clone, and plays very well. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.php?cat=96&id=539 https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/pub/sinclair/screens/in-game/b/Birdy...

Ralf wrote: Fri Nov 17, 2017 8:55 pm Thanks for answer.

In such case maybe some sticked post explaining how to add some image to your post would be helpful. I know how to do it but I'm pretty sure that not everybody knows.
Good idea. We will do that.

Re: Adding images

Hello Ralf,

You are right in saying this is possible in phpBB and we have allowed it for avatars, but we won't be enabling it for image posts. Mainly because of disk space and maintaining server security.

I found it. The PHP file which controls the downloads had an http in it, rather that https.

Seems to be working now. Thanks for reporting it. I'm off to bed now.

Re: Logo

Clicking on the logo at the top of the page now takes you back to the forum home page. The Navigation also starts at 'Forum home' now.

This does mean that there is no link now back to the SC Home page, but we can find a solution for that.

Thanks to Ricardo for spotting this fix.

Re: ZXDB Update Thread

Good evening,

The update is complete (a little earlier than planned). One of the new games as Einar mentioned in another thread is Break/Space.

OK. Thanks Mark. I will continue looking. I'm using Chrome and I get the full secured site on that page, but will install Firefox and try it. We are out this weekend but will make it a priority.

Re: Logo

The logo has been tweaked. Thanks to 4thRock for this.

We also found a way to make the logo link back to the forum homepage and we will implement this once tested.

We won't be changing much else, as it makes it harder when doing upgrades.

Re: Redirect forums to https

Hello. It's pages where users have inserted images hosted elsewhere. This page of this thread is currently fine.

I'm aware of the issue, and need to find a time to look at fixes, but for now it is as it is. Sorry.

Someone posted some possible solutions earlier in the week that I will look at.

I think everyone needs to be very careful here. Much mud slinging has taken place over an extended period of time - and in my humble opinion it is now time to stop. This is not aimed at anyone specifically, but to everyone - Please, please, please think before you type - and use your common sense! ...
