I think a game like Thanatos would normally have more votes, but Durell had some strong entries that have probably bumped it out of some people's top 3 (mine certainly).

Re: The Horace Collection | Kickstarter

Yeah, despite the cool on-tape printing and box art, personally for collection purposes I'd personally prefer owning the original tapes (they're not exactly hard to get). The pin badges look cool, and you can never have enough Speccy-themed mugs :dance. Mind you, I'd probably expect to find this sor...

Re: Branding in games

World Series Baseball has a bunch of different adverts on the big screen at various points. I could've sworn I saw a Coke or Pepsi add up there, but may have imagined it. https://i.imgur.com/iGO9bxU.png I'm not sure how prevalent WH Smith was in the States in the 80s, or whether you'd be likely to ...

That Wonka Experience feels pretty much like I felt after going to Cadbury World with my kids in about 2010. Okay, it's nowhere near as bad as that, but it's probably the most disappointing day out I've ever had. I/we had been wanting to go for years and I wasn't expecting Willy Wonka's Chocolate F...

1. Finders Keepers
2. Knight Tyme 128
3. Stormbringer 128

I loved Finders Keepers, but found Spellbound a bit too hard. Just kept dying of lethargy, hunger, or something else.

Never played Fourth Protocol, feel like I should read the book first.

Re: The 20 games with a <= 10% rating from all three major ZX Spectrum magazines

I thought Battlecars was pretty good. There are Crash Smashes that I'd consider worse than it even. It is, of course, a very niche game being an adaptation of a tabletop board/dice game that ideally needs two players, and not exactly the most intuitive thing to pick up and play. Also, Julian Gollop...
