Re: Blasphemy! Your favourite C64 SID chiptunes...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLRSXrno_Pc I enjoyed playing with the Delta Mix-e-load that was on the Zapp64 cover tape, it never loaded a game so it would go on for hours - oh the great tunes I 'created' back it the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8vuPXMF0is The music to Game Over (from the...

The 48k version of Short Ciruit. It's been bugging me for ages, I knew the tune but couldn't remember the game.

Re: What's the SHORTEST Speccy game ever?

Sabre Wulf visiting all the possible rooms that the amulet can be found is around 16mins on a good day.

If the game is started, then a snapshot is taken, then find the rooms that the amulet is found, then reload the snapshot, then only go to those rooms, it could be completed in under 10 mins.

Elite released Grand National in 1985 (sponsored by Winalot Dog food) A few months later the game engine was re-skinned into their hit driving game 911TS (with technical assistance from Dunlop tyres) Now, after huge 38 years wait, Elite Systems dig out the source code, draw a few new graphics and re...

Re: What did you use the Miner Droid for in Rebelstar?

There is an article in the new Retro Gamer Annual about Rebelstar 1 and 2, didn't get a chance to read it because my local library of WH Smiths don't like the reading of magazines - I had a thumb through it but got the evil glare of the staff member. The Miner droid was, as you said, placed in the t...

Re: Going to ZX Spectrum events back in the day

I remember going to a 16-bit one in London with my brother and friend from school; I can't remember if we took the train or if he was driving by then. I don't know which fair it was though. There weren't any consoles, it was just STs and Amiga, and the major magazines and big game labels weren't th...

Re: Devfinitive Edition (Jullian Gollop): discussion

A tough choice, as with the games by Denis Grachev/RetroSouls it's a difficult to pick a winner. Rebelstar Firebird - The game that got me playing turn based games. The evenings after school with Dave and Graham huddled around the Spectrum playing against the computer or against each other were grea...

Marcus-Berkmann (Your Sinclair writer) about gettimg old

Marcus-Berkmann, one of the many Your Sinclair writers, about gettimg old and invisible....
