CGA graphics "neolithic"?
I am glad to have lived in the Paleolithic, then.

Re: Spectrum Pros and Cons
Back in the day I wasn't negatively impressed with the keyboard. With it, I learnt to type at a reasonable speed without looking at the keys in both Italian and English, and it was confortable to me for gaming as well. I found the + one much less impressive, when I tried it at a mate's who fitted hi...

Re: Game Over Nipples Affaire
+3code Yes, in fact the art is by Luis Royo, I should have been looking at the entry in the archive first. https://www.spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/2388/ZX-Spectrum/Hundra Who knows why the filename is named that way then. Edit: Apparently some paintings by Luis Royo were later reused as game cove...

Hi @goodboy,
so you found the source for the Hundra cover art?
Could you tell us something about the author? I noticed the file name reads "fantasy-art-women-russian-painting" by the way.

Re: Spectrumpedia second edition - it's here!
A slight update: the Spanish edition contained some errors in the page numbers listed in the contents section at the beginning. They have been corrected, so if you downloaded the files before, please replace them with the current ones. Sorry for the inconvenience. For Spanish-speaking folks, a YouTu...

Re: TR-DOS.. I have questions
I beg to differ :) I found TR-DOS very useful for some of my games (Sophia, Sophia II, Doom Pit, Funky Fungus Reloaded) which would normally load only on a 128 or later Spectrum model. Since ESXDOS can read TR-DOS disk image files from version 0.8.5 on, by making TR-DOS disk image files for such gam...

Re: Spectrumpedia second edition - it's here!
And here is the final revision! And for the joy of all Spanish-speaking Spectrum fans, there is also an edition in their language! It was translated by me with a lot (really!) of help from Duefectu, which some of you might remember as the author of Cuadragon Next , a very nice adventure/RPG for the ...

Re: Turbo Turned 30!!!!
@goodboy made another TAP file of Turbo that should work on all platforms with any interface since it loads through the standard ROM routine.

Re: TR-DOS.. I have questions
There's a way to run standard BASIC-TR-DOS-Commands from MCode. You can find an example here: https://worldofspectrum.org/forums/discussion/comment/957163/#Comment_957163 This is the way explained in the interface's original manual, and it is rather clumsy. Low-level Assembly TR-DOS management is a...

Re: Homebrew coin-op conversions that were never tackled commercially
Of the two arcade games I grew up on , Time Pilot and Sinistar, Sinistar didn't get converted at all as far as I know and Timepilot had some sort of effort towards it by a budget label, which I can't remember what it's called at the moment. Could it be Time Flight by Power House? https://www.spectr...

Never mind - I downloaded MinGW, set up PATH in order to invoke it from every other directory and followed a simple guide I found on the Web in order to build Pasmo from the source code. Re: Homebrew coin-op conversions that were never tackled commercially
Some coin-op conversions appeared on the C64 but were only announced on the Spectrum and never surfaced. Off the top of my head: Iron Horse, Congo Bongo, Up 'n' Down. Also worth mentioning are Thunder Jaws, which only came out as a promising-looking demo, and Trojan, of which just a half-finished Sp...

Re: Podcast about the Spectrum on Floppy Days
I didn't know the early Spectrum manufacturing line at Dundee was staffed by women building the Speccies - in fact I naively thought it was a highly automated blue-lit factory like in the TV advert! There's a photo in the Spectrumpedia, Vol. 1 page 36, depicting that. Those hard-working women's han...

Re: DivMMC Future compatibility?
I bought my EnJoy some 6 years ago from Byte Delight and so far did not experience any issues, except for it being a bit loose on the +2A, so that I have to put a small booklet under it to avoid wobbling - on the 48K, 128 etc. this does not happen. Other than that, no compatibility problems whatsoev...

Pasmo 0.5.5
Last March Julian Albo made available the sources for the 0.5.5 version of his Pasmo assembler. https://pasmo.speccy.org He announced it on another forum, where I asked him whether a Windows executable file would habe been made available. He answered that he had to do some tests and then executables...

I, Ball: Did you try the TAP file I made a while ago? It works fine with Kempston on the +2A. http://disegnareconlaluce.altervista.org
Locomotion: Did you try the fixed file from here? Again, it works fine on the +2A. https://www.alessandrogrussu.it/plus2A-en.html
