Re: Border effects in assembler
Then, what are the maths besides this? Does the 1536 loop take the same than an interrupt? IM2 is triggered during Vblank before the border has begun being drawn, you set the first colour here. Then you wait (pause loop or fixed time routines) for the border to be drawn up to the point you want the...

Re: Border effects in assembler
Lower DE to 1536 and remove the second 'call pause' and you'll split it roughly around halfways.

Re: Wednesday Night Quiz: Toilets!
Bloody well done—how the hell did you get that?! I'm familiar with the game, but close up, the toilet looks rough and ready, quite incongruous with the rest of the game. Modern game, decent size bowl, black ink on white paper and on screen all of the time. :) It does look a bit rough doesn't it. I ...

Re: Elite - Joystick Club version not working on real hardware
How difficult is it to convert elite.tzx from here (48K tape side B, with Adder) into a TAP file? Do you have to reverse engineer the turboloader, or are there tools that will recognise it? I can't find any automated method that would do the trick. One wouldn't necessarily need to reverse engineer ...

Re: Elite - Joystick Club version not working on real hardware
I did a quick key swap poke: Nkeyswap M 8 65384 4 1 M 8 65385 16 32 M 8 65432 1 4 Z 8 65433 32 16 Y This will swap the B-key with the symbol-shift-key. Since the B-key was only used to re-center while looking at the map it shouldn't matter if it's symbol-shift now instead and a bit out of the way. (...
