Re: Spectrumpedia second edition - it's here!
Thank you so much desUBIKado :D I hope you will appreciate the work in its entirety as well, i.e. when the second volume will be translated - although if you are a native Spanish speaker, I believe you can understand at least some Italian. Unfortunately my grasp of that language is not comparable to...

The entry for Missione Odessa https://www.spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/37152/ZX-Spectrum/Missione_Odessa contains a ZIP file listed as "source code". There is no source code at all in it, the ZIP contains already available media except for two small text files containing information about...

Thank you all :D A smallish update: I am currently translating Volume 2, but I doubt I will have it ready for 23 April - next week I will be busy with work matters, and on that date I will be present at the VIGAMUS in Rome for a special event. Meanwhile, I integrated the bibliography for English Vol...

A doctorate thesis about the Spectrum
Attribute Clash: An Archaeology Of The ZX Spectrum, by Alexander Cline, 2019, is a thesis in partial fulfilment of the requirements of Anglia Ruskin University for the degree of Doctorate in Philosophy. And a very interesting read as well. (I am even cited in it several times :D ) https://arro.angl...

Re: Is it possible to make a .TRD file read/write?
Maybe you should set the emulated disk as non-protected. For instance, in Spectaculator you must select View > Disk drives and then click on the padlock icon to make it "open".
Which emulator are you using?

Re: Tenkolek Programmable Joystick Interface
was that price in lire? Seems a Tad expensive in pounds A British pound was exchanged for about ITL 2,500 back then, so ITL 49,000 would roughly be equal to £19.60. By the way, that was the discounted price. The interface was launched at ITL 99,000. Also, prices were without IVA (Italian equivalent...

Re: Terrible Oscars simulation
I don't know. I completed the game back in the day on a 15" color TV and did not have any problems with the so-called "invisible" bullets. Admittedly, the programming technique used to display them made them rather difficult to spot sometimes, but nowhere near as what I read many year...
