Re: The Virus

Cool concept with a nice and fast implementation. Sometimes, it seems that the green areas in a later level (that looks like a comb of RED/GREEN or RED/BLACK, that alternates, sometimes the GREEN doesn't seem to replicate more virus. I'm assuming, it's to keep the frame rate high, and hence you are ...

Hi @RMartins, Things take time. We don't update the live database. When it's done you will see a green tick on your post. Sorry, it was not my intent to seem pushy. I know things take time. I was just giving feedback on my part. NOTE: I have been having some web problems with SpectrumComputing.co.u...

Steve Wilcox from Elite won't allow downloads. I've approached him a couple of times.

It should be distribution denied.
Yep, my point was that the info on the page is not coherent.

I just checked again and it's still incoherent.

Re: Couple of questions about the DIVMMC FUTURE -

Just sent my Speccy off to Mutant Caterpillar for a refurb, looking at treating myself to one of these as well - came here to ask whether I could load from tape and save to card, in order to preserve my terrible type-ins from the 80s. Looks like it's a Yes :) Yep, you can. And it's even easier when...

Just for note, last Saturday at 18:20 (UK/Lisbon time) the site was down.

This time it didn't appear to be a DNS issue, but just the fact that the site was not responding.

... Specasm is written in C and built with z88dk. The keyboard entry routine is here . I'm using z88dk's in_inkey() function to read the key. A loop is started after the key is read, in which we re-scan the keyboard a fixed number of times, sleeping for 20ms in between each scan. We exit the loop i...

I did some reading up last night and apparently a common cause of intermittent issues are extensions. Therefore I have temporarily disabled some recently added ones. These are Smartfeed and Dark mode. With these sorts of issues it's often a guessing game! That Dark mode, was really bad too. Not tha...

I said it was working in a previous message.

So I was saving for when it failed again to post something with details.

You can't plug an actual Kempston Mouse into that. It's for USB or PS2 mice (depending on the socket fitted). That 9-pin connector is for a joystick. In the original form you could plug in an Amiga mouse there, but I don't even know if that feature is still supported. Well, judging by the documenta...

I initially had planned to make each Totem drop, force a rotation in its own direction.
