Re: List of Z80 coding articles in Your Sinclair/ Sinclair User / Crash magazines

I don't know if there are any specifically about learning to code Z80 but there were some great articles in ZX Computing. True. I used to enjoy Steve Turner’s articles that got published in ZX Computing. Back in the day I used to photocopy all Speccy programming related articles from magazines that...

Re: Long lost game

I would love to be reunited with my old game! Thanks everyone. With the internet, recovery is way more likely than it would have been otherwise. Hopefully it's not sitting at the bottom of some landfill right now. It would be an awesome thing to recover the game and preserve it on this site - along...

There goes my Sunday morning! Completed the original 20 levels, using up 69 lives.
Now to go back to the original and do the same, with less lives, I hope.

Missed this one somehow, so just ran into it now. This is fantastic! I'm already a fan of Dave's version (which I need to still get further in), so this is a really good treat! Thank You!

I'm enjoying this game. Good work, Ottersoft!! The hide mechanic is a good idea. I also like the open/close trapdoor things.
Only made it to level 3 but will be back for more soon.

BTW, I didn't mention above, but this issue also happens in real tape mode. I'll post this as an issue.

Thanks for that, Seven.FFF . I looked to see if the issue was reported, but couldn't find it. Before I post the issue, could someone else with a KS2 accelerated Next please try it out to see if it's really an issue and not just me doing something silly. Here are the steps: Issue: TZX files do not lo...

Thanks @R-Tape. I'll give that a try.

Re: ZXDB Update January 30, 2024

I have an update question: Using the Preservation tools , if there's an entry that is not in the database, is there a way to create the entry as well as upload the files all at once? Up to now, I've been creating the new entry by using the "Add a new (MIA) title/entry" button, then at a la...

Re: To type or not all programs from the book "20 Best Programs for the ZX Spectrum" by Andrew Hewson

All programs typed and checked! Soon to be uploaded each one of them to the archive. :dance :dance :D Wow, you are fast! Nice job! Do you type directly into a Spectrum/emulator, or are you using some type of utility to type then upload to an emulator? I'm curious because I'm also on a bit of a type...

Mine arrived yesterday too. I couldn't stop playing around with it last night. It's an amazing machine and one of top quality! Well worth the wait. I applied the HDMI update last night and that went well. Fixed Aquaplane in 60 Hz which I'm happy about. One thing I wasn't previously aware of is the a...

And now I have an import duty/customs clearance bill of over $100 to pay before I can receive the package. :( Sorry to hear that. That is lousy that the folks in Canada are having to fork out more. Thanks for your replies, Einar Saukas . It was helpful. All the type-ins from Sinclair Programs Issue 10, August 1983 are now available. It includes all Spectrum and ZX-81 type-ins. I took whatever was available on Jim Grimwood's TTFn site, tested, checked for bugs, typos e.t.c. and made corrections...

TAP only. Decades ago, many people preferred snapshots because they were more "convenient". But there's no reason anymore, since every emulator supports TAP/TZX with fast loading now. Thanks Einar Saukas . For ZX-81 titles, are .p files the preferred way to go? How about running screens f...
