Re: Recognise the type-in?
"Turtle" looks identical to "Turtle Bridge" which is chapter 4 of Richard G Hurley's "15 Graphic Games for the Spectrum", Micro Press, 1983. Especially if line 1 is a REM statement with mchine code in it. Ace! How did you remember?! The game is not even yet in the SC d...

Re: Recognise the type-in?
Towering Inferno looks similar to the game Bounce in the DB. I feel like there are a lot like this, but usually the tower is on the left of the screen (like the Game and Watch Fire game they are based on). Thanks! You mean this one, right? :) https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/38680/ZX-Spectrum/...

Ha this is brutal. They could add least start us off with a wider net! I'm in shock from all the poor firemen! New publisher and author (Ramsoft and Chris Matthewson). Is it possible in any way to play Lightgun games with keyboard in real machine?
Pretty much said in the title :) Is there any way to play with keys the only-lightfun games? I have noticed that in some of them, when pressing "0" and other numbers, something happens in the screen, but not enough to trigger a real "effect". Maybe a short loader before the game ...

Excellent effort, all! My big thanks to all that participate making SC the best ZX page out there. I just saw a couple of little things: Demasiado para um dia should be spelled in Spanish: Demasiado para un dia :) And some screens are not displayed, instead there is a squared placeholder ;) Thanks!

Re: More youthful pie-in-the-sky: random edition!
So you never click on any of the links in my signature? :D Hehe, I will from now on :) The thing is that I co-wrote 3 books about Homebrew games in 8 and 16 bits, and when deciding the system we would cover, we had to leave the SAM out, because the amount of games was so tiny... even the Amstrad PC...

Re: More youthful pie-in-the-sky: random edition!
I have heard that the SAM scene is much-derided in the Spectrum community at large, because there's so little activity, and what little there is going on takes so long to happen... and that reputation is not entirely undeserved, I guess... but there is stuff happening. I've been assisting on an upd...

Re: More youthful pie-in-the-sky: random edition!
@Ivanzx I know a few, mostly working on the SAM Coupé rather than the Spectrum... and all currently busy with their own ongoing projects. The main stopping point with this adventure is the lack of story. No story means no characters, no puzzles, no objectives, etc. The few graphics I have might be ...

Re: Crash 2023 Annual £23.30
Oure is fairly simplistic (completed it on my first go but, to be fair, I've yet to do so again!), Neadeital looks fantastic, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, or how (making it very true to the Gargoyle adventures, from my perspective). I agree in the games, Oure is kind of short b...

At the right side of the screen. It states that they were made with Adventuron, so I guess they are for the ZX (or Next).

Re: A couple of previously unarchived Finnish games by Hedengren
Nice to see you here, Skaepoy! Also, curious to see those 2 finnish games, incredible that the Speccy managed to reach so many different countries. It is crazy to think that at any given moment of 1984, there was a person in countless countries, typing up something for the Spectrum. Also, as I have ...

Re: The Hobbit 128 unfinished?
Is this a joke? The video you share does not even mention Kayamon. It shows the game only credited to WorldofSpectrum.org. Even if there is some YouTuber out there who gets it wrong, it seems quite unreasonable to blame Kayamon for it when he clearly credited only WorldofSpectrum.org, not himself. ...

Re: The Hobbit 128 unfinished?
That's not correct. He credited it to World of Spectrum, not himself. But why he appears to be the only author in the Spectrum Show video then? Also in another video appears: conversion by Kayamon and members of WoS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrYAijTFPSw If this was a community effort, maybe ...
