Re: Unnecessary inclusions in games

I've always find scores in certain games useless, for example Sabre Wulf, where the aim is go further, reach somewhere, etc. They're games that the arcade component is not as important as the adventure one. I've never noticed the score I've got unlike pure arcades like Commando or 1942. Games like ...

Re: Iconic Character Sprites

With my Lego in front of me, 128 studs is 98cm.
That makes 256 studs being just under 2 metres wide, 192 studs is just under a metre and a half.
Now that is huge and rather heavy.
It would fit on one wall, but it will be from the ceiling downwards and be hidden behind a few bits such as the TV.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLRSXrno_Pc I enjoyed playing with the Delta Mix-e-load that was on the Zapp64 cover tape, it never loaded a game so it would go on for hours - oh the great tunes I 'created' back it the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8vuPXMF0is The music to Game Over (from the...

Re: What's the SHORTEST Speccy game ever?

Sabre Wulf visiting all the possible rooms that the amulet can be found is around 16mins on a good day.

If the game is started, then a snapshot is taken, then find the rooms that the amulet is found, then reload the snapshot, then only go to those rooms, it could be completed in under 10 mins.

Re: What did you use the Miner Droid for in Rebelstar?

There is an article in the new Retro Gamer Annual about Rebelstar 1 and 2, didn't get a chance to read it because my local library of WH Smiths don't like the reading of magazines - I had a thumb through it but got the evil glare of the staff member. The Miner droid was, as you said, placed in the t...
