Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with G: discussion

I would also add Grell and Falla http://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/pub/sinclair/screens/in-game/g/GrellAndFella.gif It's no winner here and maybe not so popular as it came to the market in final days of commercial Spectrum when everybody was moving to other platforms. But It's a really polished game, ...

Can we have a multi vote poll? Just selecting one game just feels so wrong. Otherwise I may need to create some sock puppets ;)

Re: JSSpeccy on-line emulator ready for testing

Great!!!

Maybe a search option can be added to the 'advanced search' to browse for games that can be played in the online emulator?

Can an online preview be added similar to the RZX Youtube still? I scrolled over the contents of Apulija various times trying to find the online links.

Still playing Elite Dangerous - so anything that laid out the groundwork over 30 years ago has been scientifically proven to be brilliant - FACT! :-)

Enduro Racer was the first racer I saw that moved the horizon to indicate vertical movement - I can still feel the excitement / anxiety when going over that first hill. Wow!

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with C: vote

There are just too many good games in there - picking just one just reminds of the definition of agony: a one armed man hanging off the top of a cliff with itchy macadamias. But went for Chase HQ - the opening sequence of AY + beeper, speech, and a great game to boot. At least a top 5 would allow so...

Attempting to play the 128k .tap on Fuse - both intro and in game tunes are fantastic!

But... I don't get the gameplay - none of objects are picked up. I do lose life when hit by an enemy.

Compare the contents of memory at 24576 ($6000) with the contents of the Pasmo compiled source?

This post however seems to indicate that the ZX Spin assembler is just broken.

Re: Pixel Quest 2000 - aargh

Look at last 2 columns. Exactly one of these columns requires a painted square above (therefore none below), the other requires a painted square below (therefore none above). And it's not hard to figure out which one. Yep... got it - thanks! PeterJ - are you planning on implement...

Thanks - but why? 2,1,1,3 also fits to the left of the red X.

I'm currently on page F too.... some have been real tough and others are plain sailing. I'm solving them hopefully the proper way by calculating, counting and subtracting. I try not to guess. It's a great time waster though. :-) Elimination is what I'm using too. I have not guessed yet (unless by a...

I have three puzzles to go all on level F: https://s17.postimg.org/3mi9e0rcb/image.png My standard approach is a brute force on every column / row and then repeat. On this level I do not see what my next move should be (without simply trying stuff out): https://s17.postimg.org/qnyujobjf/aargh.png

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi I'm Stefan, I got my first rubber keyed Spectrum 48k around about 1984 in Auckland, NZ. My Dad got a new job which went with a company car so the family car (an Austin Maxi) could be sold and was used to finance the Speccy. In NZ you could buy the Spectrum with or without a power supply. We got i...
