Re: Nodrog's short cryptic crozzy
The first one was easy. For the rest, I need to look up the guide provided by Rorthron to help. But even then I doubt I'll get them

Re: Woot! 2019 Submissions wanted
By the way Mr-Tape, my submission may not be completely finished yet. I omitted an alternate tile set that I'd like to include to add some variety. Also, dya fancy drawing some Christmas themed tiles? Go on, you know you want to (you probably don't).

The "Three Two One Gooo!" sound in Grand Prix Simulator was stunning back int he day. Probably not what you're looking for though.

Re: Did you ever think you were the last Spectrum user?
Perhaps it depends on what you were using the speccy for. If you were chasing the next big thing in games then the speccy may have been a transient thing. We got ours in 85, but we had already an Atari 2600 prior and were already on that conveyor belt by then. My dad made me vow the Sega Master Syst...

Re: RoseTintedSpectrum | Retro Reviews
As a kid I never gave any thought to the inappropriate themes on show in Mr Wino, but I loved it and thought for £1.99 great value for money. Can't remember if I got very far, but completing speccy games was never a thing for me really - most were impossibly hard and I just accepted it. Nice videos!

Re: Line - a one line arcade game
I don't want to divert this thread at all, but did the Link 480Zs you used at school have a Lode Runner clone installed on them at all? Ours did (this would have been around 1989/90) but I can't find any reference to this piece of software anywhere and I've looked endlessly online over the years for...

Great game, managed to get to level 15 so far.
Probably the best Speccy release this year. (It is the only one I've played though )

Show of hands please. Why didn't more people learn assembler? Was it 1. their satisfaction with basic 2. no literature provided with the computer 3. no IDE provided with the computer 4. no possibility of sensible debugging, instead 5. a machine which hangs on the slightest error? I don't opt for Nr...

If this thing gets made will it get its own custom built engine, or will you stick with AGD?

Speccies in reading books
This is my son's reading book at school: https://i.postimg.cc/HJn6gwY1/20190717-070234688-i-OS.jpg I excitedly told him I had that computer. He scurried off downstairs and came back somewhat underwhelmed. Did NASA use a prototype Toastrack on its rockets? https://i.postimg.cc/R69Q0w90/20190717-07030...

Is the poll editable? If not, then it might be worth posting it again. Yes! I've tacked it onto the end, but unfortunately all votes have been reset because of this. Now, thankfully, there was only vote (it was for Dreamworld : Alter Ego 2), so whoever voted for that, please vote again for it (or T...

Re: The best Speccy game by Ultimate: discussion
Pretty overrated publisher/developer to be honest. One great game (Sabre Wulf), one pretty good clone of Wizard's Lair (Atic Atac), and a load of mediocre 2d rubbish followed by an endless stream of isometric crap.
So yeah, I'm with Dunny: Sabre Wulf.
