I'd quite like to do some Next specific graphics, if the opportunity should arise. I suppose I'll wait and see.

Re: Klass of '99 & Lethargy: The Apathetic Dream

I was going to be doing converting some of the PC original graphics for the Speccy version but I honestly can’t remember how they never got done. I wasn’t familiar at all of the PC version at the time. In a strange twist of fate, I now make games with the original PC author. At one point we even dis...

Surely you’d want the sweet sweet sound when you hang-glide from the 128K version of Glider Rider to gently wake you up.

Re: Chain Reaction - Durrell or Elite as publisher?

I suppose an equivalent could be Virgin Mastertronic. You've got the likes of Dan Dare 3 and Golden Axe released under the Virgin Games label and, say, Psycho Hopper released under the Mastertronic Plus label. While technically the same, at no point would I expect to see Psycho Hopper listed next to...

Re: The best Speccy game by Durell: vote

Just as an aside, I’m intrigued by this also known as “Critical Mass 2” for Chain Reaction, which is something I’ve never heard of until this morning. Had this ever been confirmed? I can’t see any mention of Critical Mass in any Chain Reaction adverts or documents, there seems to be no link in the p...

Re: The best Speccy game by Durell: vote

Chain Reaction must’ve been released after Durrell sold it’s stuff to Elite but it was released under the Durrell name, so I suppose that probably should’ve been in the poll out of those 3, I suppose.

Re: Game Collecting - How high would you go?

I stopped collecting years ago, it was becoming to expensive and I was running out of space to store them all. Back then, the most I had ever spent on a game was £25 for Ocean’s Battle Command, though I also got US Gold’s Heavy Metal. At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, April 2020, in actual fac...

Oh aye! I mind that article now! Definitely part of the Design Design team indeed, I’m just not sure I’d include them in a Jon Ritman list of games though, sorry Pete, as his name isn’t really associated with those games. If you look at Sokurah Sqij from 2018, you’ll see that I’m listed as one of th...

Ok, since you'e asking. As a tool-maker, you are not concerned with what a tool-user needs or wants to do. But I am! I asked why you would need these searches? That wasn't to be antagonistic, that's something a good BA should do when getting the requirements. You certainly don't just accept everythi...

Re: Complete Spectrum - partwork

Indeed the GUi isn't great, I agree with you and I'm certainly not arguing for the 2000s Windows interface!, but it does make it possible to ask questions like "which French-language games were produced later than 1986?" -- which I can't ask right now. GUI is just icing on the cake. What ...

Re: Complete Spectrum - partwork

Hah sorry I was replying to @equinox and his search idea. Personally, I think the Spectrum Computing search is just fine!

That was supposed to read “You want to search Spanish language and platformers?” Again that was based on @equinox’s search example that led to his search idea.
