Re: Poll:The Odin big four
Graphics are brilliant on all Odin games, but the games are, after the exciting first few days, mind numbing and boring to play, collect the items and get it stolen again by a nasty or need collecting the wrong item to save it. Yeah, what is it with Odin and their annoying 'nick your stuff' gamepla...

Re: Minesweeper 16/48
Very nice conversion, slick and polished, pretty cool if it's your first machine code game. I'm very tempted to stick this on my DS for long train/coach journeys..
I was a bit wary of downloading it at first, as you can get drawn into playing this b*stard for hours..!

Re: Your top-5 sports games
Yep, I think I learned the rules of baseball from playing WSB.
JBS is a bit jerky & sluggish compared to say, Match Point, which is why it doesn't make my top 5, but I quite enjoyed it anyway

Went for MM.
Liked the exploration side of JSW but the 'next screen!' enthusiasm in MM had me gripped.
Difficult choice though, ask me a different year and I'd probably change my mind.

Quite scary, I could imagine that column quite realistically.
Though I wonder if people would have eventually got sick of film tie-ins, and start bringing back originality points for new game ideas...

Re: Forum ranks poll
Post count doesn't really give any indication of community standing, just that someone has probably taken more photos of their lunch and posted it in the OT section than anyone else. Hardly a useful measure. Probably a good indication of their state of malnourishment/lardiness though.. :lol...

Just voted for the game characters (though I hadn't heard of Microbot either).
Once this poll is done how about another one to define what the ranks will actually be..?

Re: Should every new game be released with an infy lives option?
When I did Stamp Quest I reset the objects on screen because I didn't know how to do otherwise*, with Biscuits I chose not to do it. I preferred the idea of 8 separate challenges, each one having to be fully completed. *I hope no-one ever does a disassembly on that game. Yes, I guess it changes the...

Re: Should every new game be released with an infy lives option?
I'm guilty of this with Biscuits in Hell (well 128 lives anyway), but the game is very, very hard. I don't see a problem One thing about collect-em-ups is that I don't find infinite lives helpful when the game resets the objects on a screen after you lose a life. I accepted it with Manic Miner but ...

What was the old wos ranking, maybe that's the best solution? I would personally like the forum to be the same style and design as wos before big crash (from Martjin era) ...
