Ast A. Moore and tolls: Neither of them.

Another small clue - the first game was a coin-op conversion.

Re: Spectrumpedia revised and extended edition. Suggestions about possible new content

An update on the state of the project. I have been working at the new contents in my (rare) spare time in the last few weeks, the book has been revised and expanded considerably, especially in chapter five, "Le nuove frontiere" (The new frontiers). Among other things, research brought me t...

How will non-UK Spectrum aficionados be chosen for the interviews?

Among the project backers, maybe?

I have just negotiated the first section, it was short but intriguing and made me curious to try the proper game.

Morkin is right. No. 15 is from Hypersports, while no. 6 is from Konami's Ping Pong. Sorry for messing up things

A platformer with great graphics made from scratch without AGD or Churerra.
Hum, I think it uses La Churrera

Re: Friday Quiz: Name That Noise

Sorry, no. 6 was already guessed by yours truly ;)

Many of them sound very familiar, but right now I cannot remember where I heard them... :?

I got one! 16: Travel With Trashman, Madrid scene to be exact.

It's ok, I know you meant noise 11. We've already established that 14 is a Codies game that absolutely bloody well isn't Dizzy.
Thanks! :D

Re: Scariest Sprites/Situations In Games

Not much to be honest, with a notable exception. I found the atmosphere in Aliens (UK version) quite tense, and when a Xenomorph all of a sudden appeared beyond the current character's back, with that low-pitched sound just before the beeps, it was genuinely scary to me! And being chased by ...

Re: Xpeccy just shows a blank screen

Changing the sound output and resetting the emulated machine (because the PAPER area is completely black afterwards) makes emulation start, but there is a high-pitched continuous sound in the background, which only disappears when the output frequency is set to either 11025 or 48000 Hz.

Re: Games with minecarts in them

In Wibstars, every time you go back at the store to purchase some goods to resell, you must put them inside a giant minecart. There is a section in Livingstone Supongo! (or Livingstone I Presume! ), and in its sequel Livingstone Supongo! II where you must walk through a mine, avoiding the minecarts.
