Re: The best Speccy game by Infogrames: discussion

Interesting, although there are some Loriciels, Cobrah Soft and Magic Bytes games listed in there. Now, Cobrah Soft was owned by Infogrames, that's kind of understandable but I don't see how Loriciels and Magic Bytes have a connection. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumpy_(video_game) Seems like the...

The Renegade poster is still in active memory and directly associated with Queen, but I’d never seen the spines of all those game tapes.

Re: Poke to hide "Program:, Bytes:" tape loading prompts

Also, to TakuikaNinja: a guy in NZ North Island told me (something something) about Speccy usage in NZ, but I could never find any info about anyone, in the entire history of New Zealand, who ever had a Speccy (and I had a fairly comprehensive pen-pal list in the 90s). And my correspondent was born...

Re: Forum e-mail alerts corrupted?

Last one I had was okay... https://i.postimg.cc/K1ZWXHKt/IMG-7808.jpg I think the RFC2047 encoding only kicks in when the subject is "too" long 'How big should new Speccy games be? 48k? Bigger? Release 2 versions?' is longer than 60 which seems to be the setting for too long in phpBBmailer.

Re: Forum e-mail alerts corrupted?

Thunderbird 115.7.0. However, my client seems irrelevant, since you can see from the the mail headers (which are written before the mail reaches my client) that the message was corrupted. AFAIK it is your mail client's job to decode the mail headers correctly, this issue https://bugzilla.mozilla.or...

Re: Forum e-mail alerts corrupted?

Which mail client are you using?

If I am reading https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/issues/1949 correctly, your mail client should be handling this encoding automatically.

Re: SAM File Headers (HDR, HDL)

As you, I would expect them to be little endian, but of the special sort that live on Endor.

This is from memory, check if it works out:
- lowest byte normal
- high byte - must remove top 2 bits (ie combined with low byte can address at most 16383 bytes)
- pages byte (how many 16K are involved)

Hayne's page says that he did his own scans. But pavero says (in previous page of this thread) that he scanned it. So who is guilty? (or whose scan do we have?) I am joking more than criticising... Right I don't even know why people are disputing this because, as I said, it was a list of routines, and the "typo" one was precisely in the place where INVERSE belongs in the character set. We know it's inverse. The only question is why someone wrote "courier". P.S. I paid for ...

Resaturate jsspeccy3

The jsspeccy3 colours as used to emulate games on this site look terribly washed out to me. Maybe it is the result of years of using emulators with a saturated palette, maybe not. Gasman does not want to change jsspeccy3's colours until he is approached with a scientific palette (see github issue 17...
