Space Panic videogame, taken from Lo Varese ZX Spectrum

A snapshot file with the name 'Panic.sna' was found inside Lo ZX Spectrum In Italia website. In fact, I haven't seen any reference to this platform arcade at SC archive by their screenshots (see below), unless its similarity with Mikro-Gen's videogame in some elements of in-game screen, like score a...

uMIA: Kong, by Tim Boone

I've found a possible uMIA from a group of archives located in this section of an old ZX Spectrum games site, unactive since many years ago: Lo Varese ZX Spectrum In Italian and called 'Crazy Kong', this game may belong to Tim Boone as his name appears at the first opening screen of the game, once l...

Re: Magazines

It's almost done! All PDFs are now available, while rest of formats will be automatically making themselves into the same page during next hours. Once finished all these uploads, I only have to edit main text and that will be everything. Enjoy! Of course, I joined HCW eight supplements to the lot. T...

Re: Magazines

In the meantime, I'm submitting to ZXDB many HCW type-in programs files already existing (not here at SC, I'm afraid), thanks to the effort of Jim Grimwood and his collaborators in the past, if any. Many of these listings were copied long time ago for The Type Fantastic site of Jim's. No clue why th...

Re: Magazines

Hi, I've noticed that all issues of Home Computing Weekly magazine, scanned as PDF at Internet Archive , have a very poor resolution. So, I'm using existing JPEG files from same site (Generic Raw Book ZIP) to convert every issue in this type of image into new PDFs with a better quality. I usually us...

Re: ZXSR bugs

Sure each one of them appeared on covertapes. "Inglese I" in issue #9 - 1985/Oct and the third part of this English course in Issue #11 - 1985/Dec of the magazine.

Thank you! I've seen in the magazine Radio Elettronica & Computer there are also several ZX Spectrum BASIC programs created by Discovogue, not catalogued yet. Hope to add them quite soon to the archive.

Re: "Frogger" - uMIA type-in from Radio Elettronica & Computer magazine

After looking carefully 1983 and 1984 issues of this magazine, some of ZX Spectrum type-ins authored by Giuseppe Meglioranzi and others look like being copied and translated in Italian from different magazines and books... :-| Examples: Month/Issue Title (original title in SC) Supposed author...

"Frogger" - uMIA type-in from Radio Elettronica & Computer magazine

Hi, Between yesterday and today I have typed-in a Frogger-themed game from a magazine not listed in the archive yet: Radio Elettronica & Computer. Italian magazine. Founded by Editronica and lately endorsed to Gruppo Editorale JCE in September of 1987. Commercial period: between March 1983 to Ma...

uMIA type-in from Personal Computer World: Qix (Feb. 1985)

I've already typed and transfered into a TZX file an uMIA game called "Qix" from PCW magazine, developed by Y. Yu (or so it seems). After a long time trying to make it perfectly checked of free errors, there must be something bad inside the program. So to start, once I press RUN and ENTER,...

Much appreciated. ;) For instance, as I could watch on May 1984 issue (from SC archive), there's a list of back issues that could be useful for Mort, PeterJ and more people to try their search in any form, or just having this info for something else. uMIA: "Caccia al 13" (Rebit Software, 1983)

I'm actually checking Electronic Games (Italian edition) magazine from Magazines section and I've discovered in its 6th issue a full review of a complete unknown football manager, or so it seems, from page 22 to 24 in the PDF ( at Internet Archive ) with a tape inlay image on it. "Caccia al 13&...

In Electronic Games magazine (Italy) profile it is said that issues 7 and 8 doesn't exist, but not like separate ones as I could think. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/magazine/441/Electronic_Games_/_EG_Computer I've already noticed from Internet Archive there's only one issue for them corresponding...

Kunibert game looks like the one already available at SC (from Homecomputer magazine) with almost same UDG graphics, but the one at El Trastero is more simple. Maybe a first version?

Re: Invaders

I've been looking for any "Invaders" type-in at Grimwood's The Type Fantastic site but no one corresponds with this 1987 release. Unless there are English texts on several PRINT commands after checking main listing, it could have been published in any non-UK magazine.

Mystery to me.
