Re: Guess the screen$

Yeah I knew it right away but I'm not sure how I can remember this sort of thing and then forget key life information. I've not seen that sprite in action in years, maybe decades!

Anyway... Here's a tricksy one maybe.

They looked great, but I just found them far too annoying to br fun. Same. Never got anything from them apart from frustration. 1 - Cyclone 2 - Deflektor That's i...

Re: What's the SHORTEST Speccy game ever?

But then, a 4-minute game is still short. A better field would just be the shortest known completion time, then you could search for however long or short you wanted. A lot more work though. Figuring out the shortest completion times for every game and then recording that info. 3 mins is deffo too ...

Re: What's the SHORTEST Speccy game ever?

I've done this thread before I think and from memory Jack and the Beanstalk is what made me start it.

Although it takes your life to master it, I figure the game is beatable in three mins.

Re: Devfinitive Edition (Matthew Smith): vote

I think I prefer JSW over MM. I never got anywhere near beating it but when I played it, I'd just go off in one direction and just explore. It felt like such a massive game at the time. The good thing though is that even if certain rooms were impossible for you, you could just leave or avoid them. I...

Re: The best Speccy game by Imagine Software (Ocean ownership): vote

Some great games in there but Renegade wins for me as it is the game I still play today. Target Renegade was good but too easy and the weapons were pointless. Also, the music was good but just didn't fit the action.

I'd put Green Bert second and Hyper Sports third.

Re: Transformers:redesigned

A great fit for this would be a Chaos style strategy game where each robot form has different attributes based on the original tech specs and a bit of additional info. So for example in robot form might only have a movement speed of 1 but in plane mode he's a 9. Things like courage could work like t...

Some of his level design remains though but fair enough. I'm surprised that someone just rewrote all that code.

They've just released Renegade: Retribution. It's the 16th sequel to Renegade and, like all of them, it's not as good as the original.
