@jpnz Nice throwback. Nice work :)

Though if I'm not mistaken, I think people here were discussing how to get it to work on a 16k?

Re: AGD - How to play AY sound effects WITH music?

 What I mean is, to play only the stuff that the currently-playing effect uses at the current moment (whether tone, noise or both), and leave other things in the channel 'mostly' untouched, rather than switch them off completely. In any case, if you guys can work with ASM code, feel free to ch...

Re: Inkspector 2.0.5 available

InkSPector already works great with the left analogue stick of my Xbox S joypad. For isometric games I'd prefer the d-pad instead. Would it be possible to link the controls of the analogue stick to the d-pad's? Then they could be used interchangeably.

Thank you for sharing, both your journey and making it open for others to use.
Your dedication and persistence, starting with no-knowledge to the final outcome is very admirable and inspirational.

After your remark about your eyesight, I chuckled when I saw your screen :)

Hi Peter. Basically from 49152 upwards. Be mindful though to read what the layout of the several banks are when paged in, bank 2 and 5 appear at 2 places at the same time. And the contention differs between the several models; over all models, uncontended are only bank 0 and 2. I use this informatio...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS

Hi Bob.

I've started using the save snapshot function to save progress in games. It works great. Thank you for that.
Could you make it possible for snapshots with the same name to be saved? So instead of showing an error 18, prompt to overwrite?

Re: Inkspector 2.0.5 available

When entering a new value in the Poke function, the Poke button doesn't become active. When pressing Enter, the value also isn't changed in memory.

For now, I used the Write memory function instead.

Re: Inkspector 2.0.5 available

I'm having another issue that I'm having trouble understanding. When I use Go To Address in the debugger, type an address, select RAM Page #0 and press OK, it stays in RAM02 in the listing, instead of the expected RAM00. https://i.postimg.cc/Mv930vqW/image.png Perhaps it's selecting the currently ac...

There seems to be an issue with the 4th tab of the memory viewer.

The other tabs do behave as expected.

Thanks again :)

I keep track of new emulator releases by using an RRS feed of http://www.emucr.com/ which I load into Feedly. Now SpecEmu releases through above website are also included in it.

Re: Converting AY to WAV / MP3

AY Emul by Sergei Bulba is also able to do this. And with all other supported retro music files it plays such as PT3, ST3 & SQT. Convert files by right-clicking on them in the playlist. In my opinion, anyone fond of retro music should have this player :) https://bulba.untergrund.net/emulator_e.htm

You can use the ZXDB search function for that. Select the magazine under Award. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/

I think that difference could be expressed as "in-game music" instead of "game music"? The latter, to me, includes all music presented by the game.

While native esxDOS loading is nice and thank you for sharing the code, if you use explicit filename loading, aren't .tap files automatically rewinded when reaching the end?

BasinC and Spin both have the option to paste text into the emulator. The Zero emulator has a Basic Importer tool zxplay.org lets you copy in Basic or assembly code and then run it. I think if you setup a login you can save progress to the site, not sure if you can save a TAP back to your PC though...

Is anyone having success with using a controller? Does SpecEmu only support d-input (I'm seeing dinput8.dll in its folder) or also x-input?
It doesn't seem to do anything with my xbox one s x-input controller. It is working in windows games and InkSpector.
