Re: Bernie Drummond
I do hope the rumor won't be confirmed, although I already feel sad at the thought. If confirmed, that would be another sad loss in a few days for all of us. I fondly remember his excellent work on Batman and Head Over Heels in particular.

Re: Krakatoa - inevitable end?
I also loved Escape From Krakatoa back in the day, and played it again extensively for the 2003 Speccy Tour. As far as I could reach, there is no real ending to the game, even if you do your best to shoot down the V1s, destroy the submarines or avoid the volcano's projectiles, sooner or later you wi...

I am shocked... I have been in contact with Daren for more than 20 years - he was a really nice person, and his contribution to the Spectrum community has been invaluable. My deepest condolences to his family.

Re: Two-quid Tuesday: LA Swat
I played this little monstrosity back in the day. I must say I have a soft spot for it - it is so abysmal, it even manages to be somehow fun. Fun like a trashy movie you watch for a while every now and then just for cheap laughs.

Re: Guess the screen$
Its.... https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/3838/ZX-Spectrum/Portals_of_PThaal No, I've never heard of it either. it was a decent type-in RPG that was so big that Sinclair User put it on the b-side of a cover tape. I remember it, I still keep the Megatape 14. Pity I came to check the thread after...

Re: Spectrumpedia revised and extended edition. Suggestions about possible new content
An update on the state of the project. I have been working at the new contents in my (rare) spare time in the last few weeks, the book has been revised and expanded considerably, especially in chapter five, "Le nuove frontiere" (The new frontiers). Among other things, research brought me t...
