Dark Star
(Supertramp lyrics I believe).
Apparently some of these Design Design score tables also had a whole load of responses if you typed certain things into the high score table.
(Crash letters page). Not sure if there's a full list somewhere?

"Boffin", lol... Vaguely remember watching a bit of Get Fresh.
15 seconds to play Starglider? It'd take me longer than that to figure out the keys.

Re: Devfinitive Edition (Steve Crow): vote
All decent games... And a rare poll where I've actually played them all
1. Starquake
2. Wizard's Lair
3. Factory Breakout
Firelord has beautiful presentation but I really couldn't get very far in it (not for want of trying) compared to the others, so misses out on the top 3.

Nice. Have had a play with DALL-E and Chat GPT now and then.
I've yet to find it successfully generate an accurate image of a Speccy. Probably just not using the right words.

OK so here's (probably) a bit of a vague one.
This ad keeps popping up on social media. The logo reminds me of a certain thing that is Speccy-related.
Anyone else seeing it?

Re: New Game: Nectar
Nice shooter this :) I like the idea that when you collect the nectar you can use it as bullets though you lose your firepower when you fill the tube thing. Occasionally I managed to clear a wave so that no more aliens appeared, but couldn't figure out if it was random or happened after I destroying...

https://i.imgur.com/PA4C1K5.png Incidentally my Sunday chores have somehow now been relegated to Monday night... :| [Edit]: Have quite enjoyed working out the route to take without looking it up/watching a speed run. Though it probably helps knowing roughly what the top scores are, so you know if y...

Just had a quick go, in case anyone wants to compare scores with someone who isn't superhuman  (MM finisher but not a speed runner) I'm sure some of the routes I take are non-optimal, but they work for me. Central Cavern - 1698 Cold Store - 3648 Menagerie - 5457 Uranium - 7274 Eugene's - 8925 [...
