Re: free oliver twins games

It's always complicated with copyrights ;) Correct me if I'm wrong but the thing that happened recently is the twins getting full right for their games. They always had no objections but the games belonged to Code Masters, the publisher. And Code Masters which still exists denied free distribution o...

Re: The best classic Speccy game beginning with K: vote

Knight Lore. Actually for me it's yet another classic where I was a crap player and achieved nothing. I never took into account changing into werewolf so it always happened to me in the worst moment when I needed to escape from the enemy ;) There is also a trick which you'll need to use often - stan...

Re: free oliver twins games

Actually we can download them from Spectrum Computing as well ;)

It was a great, big news a month or two ago when the brothers allowed officially their games for free download.

Re: Game of the day...

Star Bowls and Nuclear Bowls are very typical Spanish games - pretty and colourful but very hard.
Somehow I like this guy on Star Bowls loading screen, he's certainly a tough bloke, not to be messed with ;)

Re: Super Sprint A.I.

The video states that the replay function only recorded key presses and duration, not actual coordinates. It means that the game is 100% deterministic, at given circumstances enemy vehicles would always behave the same. So we need to record human behaviour only and all the rest would be recalculate...

Re: Put Here Graphics That Have Nowhere Else To Go

This one is a bit of a howler, that would definitely not see the light of day were it not for this thread.
For me it absolutely has a chance to become a decent screen. Just add some shadows, details and dithering and it could be all right.

Re: Site Updates

Just noticed advanced search becoming more advanced ;) It's a great addition! Some quick notes: - Instead of "idiom" I guess simply "language" would be better -at these moment I'm unable to search just for any mod or all crap games. I get " Please search for title with at least 3 chars long, or use ...

Re: The hobbit: developing the parser

I figure this was the only way you could practically do a Plotto style interactive fiction game/RPG on the spectrum. how does that help? just curious Yes, could you elaborate more on it? I've read the text in the link and it's actually an interesting subject of building some system of classificatio...
