Looks like the delights of Bingo never made it to the shores of Poland or Spain. According to Wikipedia it stated in Italy.

Re: Classic Vs Homebrew
There's a nice touch in that there's a multi-colour engine that throws more than two colours into certain character cells. This is evident in the game, and highly evident in the menu system. A superb game that has the Speccy punching above its weight. It is based on the homebrew Atari ST game of th...

Re: Classic Vs Homebrew
75% homebrew, 25% classic. The very best of modern homebrew (Sword of IANNA, Buzzsaw, Brunilda, Suvivisection, Mole Rat) is right up there with the very best of the classics IMO, but they appear once a year if we're lucky. The dev tools are so much better these days, and don't forget AGD, so we have...

Neat. Any chance of a zipped download also? The link you provide opens as a page of gobbledook (I think it's a user windows 10 setting for a lot of people).

Re: Machine code challenge
I tried filling the screen then putting a solid white box inside, nope.
I can see Hikaru's makes a blue box, but I still need to work out how it's doing it...

Machine code challenge
I've been talking to Peter about assembly routines, one of which was to draw a blue attribute box around the limit of the screen . Just wondering if the code wizards here can scare the hell out of him by showing the minimum number of bytes it takes  My first example, can definitely be impro...

Is there a list anywhere, or can anyone summarise the likely final features of the Next? (Hardware sprites, SID etc)

Aye Sam Spade is a much better Panic clone. Not that it redeems the game but Digger Dan has the coolest inlay art.

Re: FZX with word wrapping?
I asked Alcoholics Anonymous for word wrap and he created it for me: https://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/discussion/54917/z88dk-terminals/p1 this is code that is tied in with the terminals demo in z88dk though, so I dont know if it will be useful. EDIT- oh you were looking for assembly, sorry! (...

FZX with word wrapping?
The released FZX drivers don't have word wrapping as far as I know. Has anyone created their own that they wouldn't mind sharing?

Re: Licenses that could have been
Comics Watchmen - there's an open goal, although creator Alan Moore obviously was never keen on the story being recreated in any other medium than a comic book (I see his point). Ooh there's a good call. It might have been too close to a cult following to warrant a big release, and it would have be...

Re: Should every new game be released with an infy lives option?
One thing about collect-em-ups is that I don't find infinite lives helpful when the game resets the objects on a screen after you lose a life. I accepted it with Manic Miner but nowadays I like to feel that I'm progressing, even if a game is hard. When I did Stamp Quest I reset the objects on scree...

Re: Should every new game be released with an infy lives option?
I think most games will work equally well on hardware and emulator. I can only think of the typing game 'Utter Tripe' that should have a separate rubber keys version, and people that play Speccy games on smartphones are lunatics that should never be catered to  It all depends on the type of...
