Spectrum Computing

I can't find it it was announced before here. Sorry if it was.

So there is something like "Zx Spectrum Gamer" magazine. Shame on me but I haven't been much familiar with that, our scene is so fragmented nowadays and it's so easy to miss something

and there is an attachment to this magazine, a completely new quality game called "Aeon"

It's some kind of megagame, consisting of several tape images and several parts where each of them could but an independent game. Plus a load of pretty screens telling the story between the games

I haven't played it yet, but really like the graphics! Games like this one deserve to be noticed.

As for the game it is very pretty indeed and certainly a lot of work and talent went into it. If only they didn't make it so difficult.

Maybe I'm a lame player but playing the first part was a hard experience for me. I was constantly dieying even on first screen.

Wow. This is a real treat. I remember SunTeam as the guys that perpetually tormented LeeSpoons with crap games during the 2015 CGC, I didn't release they did That Sinking Feeling and this magazine (i.e. good stuff).

Aeon is brilliant, 4 well above average AGD games, 2 of which are quite 'unAGD'. The storyline is great too, it builds to make the final game, an otherwise standard action platformer*, into a very atmospheric experience not unlike BatMan: The Movie game.

I can't believe the quality and quantity of the graphics, every loading screen, sprite and platform block is superbly crafted.

Definitely one to play through (even if you cheat, POKE 32028,255 gives you loads of lives). There are no passwords so you can move on to the next tape if you're struggling. The first two games are the best, 3 is weakest but different.

*with which there is nothing wrong at all.
