Has to be Spooked, that was a great game. Although the only others I remember are Vatman and Robinson At, both of which were obviously aimed at selling Joe Blade 3!

Not played a single one. These must all be very late games to the speccy, i had probably moved on to the Amiga by the time these were coming out...

Same here, but I’d moved to the mega drive. There are some good looking games but I wonder if there’s an element of ‘look good play crap’.

Many of these are 1989 or 1990 going by the years in the loading screens. I had definately moved on before these. They look like a decent bunch of games though.

IIRC Players Premier was the "premium" budget label for Players in the later days, priced something like £1 higher than their other titles, so in theory they should all be later games and all of a better quality (YMMV)

Players first title was in 1986 and the last in 1991. Players Premier titles were only released in 1989 and 1990.

I’ma go with Eddie Edwards’ Super Ski. It’s verging on being unplayable, but the way things move on the screen is breathtaking.

I agree with all that assessment of Eddie Edward's Super Ski. The way it flings the screen around is technically super impressive. But there's not much fun to be had once you've finished marveling at it.

We're at a draw for the top spot!

3 votes each means Joe Blade 3 and Lost Caves are tied. Hmm... is there a way to determine the overall winner?

Joint second place - 2 votes each - goes to Cobra Force and Iron Soldier.

Joint third place - 1 vote each: Eddie Edwards' Super Ski; Solar Empire; Spooked; Street Cred' Boxing and War Machine.

Now, returning to the problem with the top game... our proportional vote should fix this...

Lost Caves 6
3D Snooker 3
Joe Blade 3 2
Elven Warrior 1

...there you have it, Lost Caves is the winner.

And, as I've said in some other result postings today, I'm taking some time off this forum over the end-of-year break - got the obvious socialising to do with family & friends; got some freelance work on and I've got to finish off making a video on Double Dragon for my YouTube channel (see signature), which will feature the Spectrum version and 21 others. Not much point resuming polls at this time, as I suspect forum activity dips to a low, so yeah, back in early January!
