Games involving the ZX Spectrum's new co-owners, Disney

Post by PeteProdge »

Disney's decision to buy 39% of Sky UK (and possibly all of it, later) makes it the new owner of the rights to the ZX Spectrum, the Amstrad CPC and the small matter of Sky Television and NOW TV.
And then, a load of stuff never released.

Out of that lot, I had Basil The Great Mouse Detective, which was a very underwhelming game (a bit like the movie, a very sub-par school holidays release that's barely remembered today).

I guess in a way you could throw in Lucasfilm into the mix, which gives us all the Star Wars ephemera, such as Domark's three Star Wars games. Oh and then there's Marvel, the Muppets, etc...

(Edit: Updated to point out it's only Murdoch's 39% stake of Sky UK at the moment being bought by the Mickey Mouse outfit.)
