The best modern Speccy game beginning with L: vote

Okay, 7 days to pick your favourite modern ZX Spectrum game that begins with L.

(The reason Legend Of The Frog Prince is listed with screenshots that have borders included, is that SpectrumComputing currently has no screenshots and so I just quickly got some using Fuse and haven't trimmed out the border.)

1 - Lost in my Spectrum
2 - LumASCII
3 - Lost Tapes of Albion, The

Tricky choice between Lost in my Spectrum and LumASCII. Both are great, the latter is more inventive, but I enjoyed the former more. And it feels a bit saucy, but I'm going to vote for my own game at #3.

Could I ask where you got the game? I couldn't find it anywhere when I created the entry.

Oh, never feel guilty about voting for your own work. If I had ever kept hold of the one completed game I wrote, I'd have voted for it in the B poll!

If anybody would like to play LumASCII you can download it freely (athough donations are very much appreciated) from my Itch.io site using the link below:

https://bobs-stuff.itch.io/lumascii

You can also get it on cassette from Cronosoft - https://cronosoft.fwscart.com/LUMASCII_ ... 28343.

Some of my other ZX Spectrum, and ZX81, games are also available on cassette from there.

Quite a few really good games on this list but after plenty of replaying of them I finally managed to work out my top three.

1. Laetitia
2. Legend Of The Frog Prince
3. Land Of Mire Mare

For what it's worth Leovigileo, Lost In My Spectrum and The Lost Island were all contenders for my top three as well. I don't know if Gabriel Amore reads this forum but if you do, I love the AY Euro-pop of Effiel 65's Blue in The Frog Prince game. 8-)

Wow, we have a tie for top place. Jointly, it seems it will go to The Lost Tapes Of Albion and LumASCII - which have attained 4 votes each. Of course, we need a tie breaker, and that could be resolved in the proportional voting results, but let's continue the PHPbb poll results...

Second place is also a tie, 3 votes each have gone to Land Of Mire Mare and Lost In My Spectrum.

Similar story for third place, 2 votes each go to Laetitia and Lethargy: The Apathetic Dream.

And again, for fifth place, 1 vote each to The Last Courier and Lovecraft Mythos.

Okay, let's break that down by going over to the proportional votes...

Lost In My Spectrum 6
Land Of Mire Mare 3
Laetitia 3
LumASCII 2
Legend Of The Frog Prince 2
Lost Tapes Of Albion 1
Lost Island 1

Cripes. I wasn't following the votes during the week so that's a surprise!

I certainly wouldn't argue if the top spot of the proportional vote got it in this case. Alessandro's games are pretty consistent in terms of quality, but his first game, this one, is my fave.
