Graphics are quite ugly in my opinion but playability is surprisingly good. If you love Commando or Ikari Warriors then you should like
this one too.

I have temtations to give it a modding treatment, maybe one day ... ;)
Always enjoyed this game but never once questioned its graphics or presentation. Looking at it now without my rose-tinted spectacles on it does look rather bollocks. Still plays very well though - this is one of the games I still play from time to time when I want a Spectrum fix.

I'm not sure about "brilliant", but playing it with a friend was hilarious.

I *think* I’ll take this as a complement!

bobs, happy to see you here! I never heard of this game before, it's great! Is there any chance for you to participate in Your Game 6? :)

For that I’d need to know what Your Game 6 is... link? (Sorry, I don’t follow the retro scene closely)

Aye here's the main site.

Denis made this thread here. It adds a few things about machine type.

Thanks, but that’ll be a no then, as work and family life means that I simply can’t commit to producing something to a deadline. And besides, Melkhior’s Mansion is taking any spare time that I do get.

The sequel to the equally spartan looking "Hall of The Things" and it is flipping brill. I want to go and play it right now. You should too. (And if you redefine the keys, make sure you define the keys so that the one for each direction also presses fire).

Not beautiful is it? But it's blisteringly fast.
I had both of those! Not lookers, but huge fun. :)

Though Out of the Shadows was fantastic despite its sparse and UDG-esque graphics.

When I first saw the screenshots in magazines, I assumed it was written in BASIC... :?
