A poll as an excuse to talk about this great coder.

Android One was probably the first game I've ever saw on a Spectrum.Android 2 is a brilliant sequel. Highway Encounter and Cyclone are just masterpieces. Deflektor is a very original game. Hate is cool to play. And TLL is hard to control!

Collision Course was coded under pseudonym because he wasn't pleased with the game.

My fave of all is Highway Encounter, one of my top ten games.

What about Cyclone? That was a better game than TLL.

I think Highway Encounter is the one I played the most. I played Deflektor more on my ST.

I saw the thread title and thought "Well that'll be Cyclone as #1 then". Shocked to see it missed off, one of the best games on the 8 bits full stop.

My vote goes to Cyclone. I'm sure it's an accidental omission, as Juan even mentions it in the text.

T.L.L. is the best of that lot. Ace.

Perhaps change the title to "Your second-best Costa Panayi game".

I liked Highway Encounter the best and i almost finished it back then, but Cyclone i thought was really good as well.

I counted 5 votes for Cyclone, still below Highway Encounter with 6

TLL and Cyclone were a lot of fun, when you died it was your own fault and it felt like you were really piloting a vehicle.

Highway Encounter was a bit too cerebral for my 8,9,10 yr old brain and...... probly didnt have the instructions which didnt help.

Cyclone, definitely. Tornado Low Level was a bit thin in gameplay for my likings, I did not like the Android games - only forced myself to play the second for a Speccy Tour - and the Alien Highway/Highway Encounter titles, whilst technically impressive, did never appeal that much to me. Deflektor would come a close second, and HATE as a third.

Cosmos was the first game by Costa I actually played, and one of the very first games I played on the Spectrum. Very simple, but I remember I enjoyed it pretty much then.

Highway Encounter, by a country mile. One of the handful of games I completed, thanks to a Zapchat walk through. Each blockade has a logical solution. Nothing is random, so it can be predictable, but still there's tension that a nastie will change direction unexpectedly. And when you've worked your way through all 30-odd zones, you get a proper ending sequence. A fantastic ending sequence that wraps up the game nicely.

I played Cyclone a lot, thanks to the Sinclair User covertape. Great game. But Highway Encounter is just superb. Looks beautiful, plays well.
